Delicious food, friendly staff! We had chili paneer, dosa, mutton, parota, and the amazing halwa. Definitely going back for more!
Great south Indian food. We ordered chilli chicken, chicken biryani, mutton biryani all were great. The high light was the desert drink named jigarthanda. It amazing drink. We also ordered halwa, which was also amazing.. overall very good Indian restaurant, good ambience, quality and tasty food
Always good food , love fish fry, malabar paratha. Staff are nice and responsive .
Great Indian food with good ambiance. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants in LA, but Anjappar is by far the best place I've been to.... Biriyani is sooo good with so much flavors and spices, chicken tandoori too. The staff are super friendly and caring.... highly recommend it... Definitely visiting again ?
This place went from 100 to 0 in no time like all other Indian restaurants. Ordered mutton biriyani, it tasted ok, the mutton pieces were very few I mean like 3 may be. And the rice was all broken into pieces. Shrimp biriyani was about average. Do not go to this place with high hopes to eat some good food. It's just another sub par Indian restaurant.
I tried the pomfret fry and the chicken chettinad curry both were great. Parotta was nice don’t order a lot of them at a time as they are big in size.
I loved the food though during busy days service is a bit slow. Big groups are catered quickly, I liked that. (I was a part of the big group by the way.)?
Testy food…very nice respectful staff..we enjoyed testy yummy food ?
Terrible customer service. We waited 20 minutes to place an order. Our table did not have any cutlery or water jug. We had to first ask for cutlery after they served food. Then we had to ask for water. Then we had to point out that there were no cups or glasses, we can't drink water even if they bring water. There were no salt/pepper or chutney etc on the table. Everything had to be asked for but they didn't even respond to our calls immediately. So we had to wait for them to come to us after we call them then tell them the issue and then wait until they could get us the basics. Everything had to be requested multiple times. Not sure if they are like that everyday or that day was a bad day for them but we had the worst experience ever. Food was good but we expect better service. especially when we are expected to tip 20%
Anjappar Chettinad is one of the good restaurant in Artesia for authentic south Indian food. Taste and flavors are awesome. I have tried Veg biryani, Kurma paratha, uttapam and dosa, which I like a lot. Expect some delay after ordering the food, as per them its time taken to cook fresh food. Service is good and staff is amicable. Have limited parking space.
