It's a deep fried burrito place. Very comfort.
I was very disappointed. The food had no flavor and it took a long time to get my order. The taquitos were like something you would buy in the frozen food section from the store. The sodas had very little carbonation. Like drinking a flat soda. Don't waste your time at this place!
An absolute treat for Mexican food. It’s a neighborhood hidden gem. I haven’t done a review on this restaurant and decided to do one today.Family owned and always busy with great prices for the tacos and burritos. During lunch and dinner, Tons of people lined up for the food.Fried burrito and taco are must order items. Make sure to ask for different sauces. There are other Mexican foods in the menu, but we haven’t tried them yet. They offer specials on Tuesday wu the great deals. This place accepts cash only. Plenty of parking spots in the back of the restaurant.
I double check the menu and I was trying to see if they claim to make Mexican food. Because it's not Mexican food they serve here, it's definitely El Paso brand-style American Mexican food. And for that, it's pretty great. The Ant wanted me to pick up some burritos and so I did , lured in by the Monday Tuesday special on hard shell taco and a tostada. When I got the burritos, I did not recognize them. Because they're deep fried. Yes deep fried. Once I got over my shock and had a bite I thought they were pretty outstanding, although I never would have bought them if I knew and they were deep fried I enjoyed them. If there was ground beef in there they would have been one of the best flautas I ever had.The tostada was really good too , heaping with extra onions I asked for. There was too much cheese but didn't ask for like cheese so that's really on me. The hard shell Taco was unremarkable, Workmanlike. I was charmed by the style of the place is very mid 70s or even earlier, by the fact that they are a family run place. Next time I want to try their hamburger.
Great Oldschool Longtime Local Hole-in-The-Wall Favorite.Known for their Deep Fried Burrito, Tostadas, Tacos, Taquitos and Taco Burger.Walk-Up Window to Order. Tables on the side along the side street. No Restrooms. Plenty of Parking in the Rear Lot.Pretty Cheap, Simple and Quite Delicious.Been coming here since I was a young kid. Please Stop Well as they are a nice Family-Oriented Local Small Business.??
If you're looking for an authentic Mexican taco, this is not the place. But if you want old school hard shell crispy tacos like you had in the '80s, look no further.Their burritos are also a throwback... they are deep fried! No chipotle experience here. In modern parlance, I'd call them fat taquitos. Just know what to expect and you'll be happy.
Driving by this spot for months decided to ck it out. Went with my safe choice of Bean and Cheese burrito. Had no idea it was going to be fried-like a flauta and yes it was hella good. Hot, cheesy and tasty! It's become my regular Wednesday meal. Btw if you like cubed ice, they have it. Somehow it makes your soft drink taste better. I would pass on the salsa if ur a med-hot salsa lover, cuz it lacks the heat.
Nostalgic home town great food. Friendly owners!
I like this place and it has a great history of being an original Americanized taco stand style of the late 50s. Food is good and tasty, workers were polite and helpful. just a bit high priced, great for an occasional visit. Will be back to visit again soon.
Only the absolute BEST deep fried burritos on the planet!! Seriously...if you have never been here, GO! DON'T HESITATE...YOU WILL LOVE THEIR FOOD! I've been coming here for nearly 60 years and my parents before me. It's old and still has the mid-century charm of the old taco stands from yesteryear with fair prices (Monday -Tuesday Specials). You won't be disappointed!
