This is a great restaurant. We went here for breakfast today and everything about it was perfect. It's a cute diner, the coffee tasted outstanding and they kept refilling our cups regularly. The food was also very good with large portions. Rarely is everything so perfect when we go out now a days but this restaurant was exceptional. Glad we tried it, we'll definitely be back.
This Arcadia institution has been serving tasty American diner classics since 1957. Ordered their New York steak and eggs $15.99 and it was fantastic! The steak was tender and juicy and the eggs and house fries were cooked well. My server was friendly and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Free parking lot behind restaurant.
Great diner experience. A step back in time, and a very good one!
The sign might not be working but the breakfast sure is. The wait staff is outstanding… big shout out to Yvette. Authentic 1960 dinner fell… which means the real deal green leather couches and soda-hop counter. Only improvement I can think of is for them to bring back the salt & pepper shakers
As a child my parents would take us to Rod's. In those days they had several locations & were very nice restaurants and the type of place mom would have us wear a tie to.During this visit I ordered toe pork chops and eggs accompanied by fruit and an English muffin. The pork chops were very quite good. I liked the selection of fruit which was not dominated by melon. The eggs were well prepared. The only negative is the place has a run down look.
Great diner food as always. I know everyone is suffering during the pandemic. I miss going there in the evening. Julie is fantastic and I can't wait to see her again. Eat here! It's the only diner nearby !!! Let's keep it!!!I think it would be easier on staff if they would get little trays to carry salt pepper etc on instead of making them walk each back and forth every time.

We have known this restaurant for years I been living here since 2014 I came the first time that summer and I liked the food, the people are very kind, they remember you when you go frequently (we were coming like once a month) but then all this pandemic happens and they closed for almost two years, they reopened two months ago and we finally came again we saw the same people (and we are very happy for that) who works there, but the food wasn't the same, we don't know if they changed management and they change the quality of the products or they changed the person who cooks. Sorry Rod's that I don't give another star. And this time we saw the increase on prices too.
Great old fashioned diner. Service is great and food was good.
Nope not good! Sorry love the old school vibe but that's it! The food was horrible, I never thought scramble eggs could be so gross! Simple food made horrible! Ice tea tasted like a dirty sock smells YUCK! There is zero quality here waitresses arguing no OJ at 9am whoa... Go to Lee Roy's down the road! I'd give zero stars but 1 is for the HOSTESS....
