We love dining at Melange. We are so sad that Melange is closing and that we will not be able to see Chef Mako and enjoy the wonderful and beautiful cuisine by Chef Mako. This is very disappointing. Everyone, including Chef Mako and the dining room staff, has been so wonderful, thoughtful, and kind. We thank Chef Mako and his staff for the wonderful dining experience since last year.
Food is average. Clean decor. Flies need to be managed.

Very poor service. Overpriced. One server, 25 minute wait for food. Way overpriced, even for a hotel in-house restaurant. Paid $30 per person for 2 eggs, bacon and toast with coffee. And, waited 10 minutes to get coffee, another 10 minutes to order and 15 minutes for breakfast.
Rude services. Server promised the food will be ready so I can finish the meal within 30 mins; but the food took over 40 mins to prepare, I almost missed my flight. When requesting an additional tea bag due to light tea taste, service questioned back by saying no other customer has made this complain. The server is very ego centric and the experience was really bad. as soon as I paid the bill and proceed leaving the restaurant, the service stopped us and said she ordered a cheese cake for us ( i assume it's because of my wife's birthday) but we had to leave due to the slow service. the server require proper training.
We had mixed feelings about Melange. The place is gorgeous. Our waitress was really great and couteous. The food was hit and miss and took quite a while to arrive. My fish and dumpling dish was great but the steaks for our colleagues were very over done versus the medium order. They have a very good matcha basque cheese cake. Overall it could be better.
Introduced by a friend, because I heard they have caviar to serve for high tea, but actually they do not. 30 mins waiting for a waiter to come to pick the tea, another 40 mins waiting for first course, another 30 mins waiting for the desserts. In the mean while, nobody came to ask us if we need anything, but they forced to charge 18% service fee?! I understand there was a event there, but I think all customers are worth for being served well. The food was not worth for $80/person, desserts looked like some retail brand were put in the dish. I do not judge the taste because everyone has different taste system, but overall, not worth to go there for afternoon tea even once!
Well we loved the food and our server was great but I requested a private booths and they sat us next to everyone who was that many in the restaurant and gave us a very unromantic table and experience but overall would try again just did not receive the service from the host as preferred.
Service was not good. No one came to check on one table throughout the night except when clearing the plates. Food was sometimes cold and tasted dry and bland. Majority of the dishes were so so. Dessert was better. Nothing on the Yelp photos were available anymore. So don’t reference your food selections from there.
