Freshly made dumplings with chewy skin and flavorful fillings? Are you not-a-fan of artificial flavors?I truly appreciated their simple yet hearty foods made from scratch; the combination of flavors were so good. I also appreciate their limited menu items, clearly indicating what their specialties and focus are. Plus they’re really good at it!I’m so glad to know that I don’t have to go far to enjoy authentic quality Lao Xi regional specialties! I’d go back again and again and bring special guests to introduce their foods. Truly amazing!! ☄️
Absolutely delicious! Restaurant opened no too long ago. Definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for a quick and satisfying bite.
By some wonderful stroke of luck, Lao Xi Noodle House was open on July 4th! My boyfriend and I ordered the Wife’s Special Noodle with He Lao noodles & the Special Lamb Soup with Cat’s Ear Noodle - both dishes were delicious, filling, and worth coming back many, many more times for!The Wife’s Special Noodle dish is a dry noodle (no soup) but the toppings give it plenty of sauce and flavor. The owner was very kind to recommend the original style of noodles (He Lao noodles), instead of knife cut noodles, as we told him we were first-timers at Lao Xi Noodle House. We absolutely loved the He Lao noodles - they were so chewy and bouncy, these noodles went perfectly with the toppings.The special Lamb Soup with Cat’s Ear Noodle was just as amazing as the Wife’s Special Noodle. So much flavor, generous toppings (lamb meat, wood ear fungus, potato, mushrooms, cilantro, glass noodles), and fresh chewy cat’s ear noodles to make a sublime, hearty soup noodle dish.Both noodle dishes were in generous portions and they were served quickly. My favorite is how all the meat toppings are melt-in-your-mouth type soft. Honestly it’s a 10/10 for the food, absolutely nothing to complain about!To future patrons, please be patient as the front of house is currently only run by the owners, a wife and husband couple who are both very sweet and helpful. They informed me that the noodles are always cooked fresh for you when you order, which is why their noodles have that wonderfully chewy and bouncy texture. I can definitely attest to that, as I got takeout for my leftovers and the noodles were still perfectly chewy even after I arrived home!
Authentic. Large portion. The cat’s ear noodle takes me back to childhood.
