Oh, we have always liked mimis! And we will miss the fabulous carrot raisin muffins! Nothing like them. So sorry to see them close.
great food and friendly customer service
Love food based on Louisana cuisine haven't been to MiMi since 1999 it has changed, not as clean, food not as good, very short on wait staff and food ugh! what happened who serves Jamalaya with big penne noodles and not rice, sad bread pudding made with heavy very dark brown bread. I eaten louisana cuisine for years, I was happy when this restaurant came to Antioch about 20 years ago. After waiting appx.1& 1/2 hrs. to be seated the four of us go into a restaurant less than 1/2 full another 15 min to take our orders, than 30 minutes after to get this awful food. My son went 7x to the kitchen to require about from waiter thru with the meal before I recieved a glass with 4 0zs of coke not the 12 oz. can paid $4.00 for. Son went to Panda exp. to get rice FOR JAMBALAYA the only dish that tasted good was the corn chowder soup. Based on this our Tab should have been partly gratuitously if not sorry can we accommodate you with? instead of the &130.00 we paid. I will not go there again, it is no longer a favorite will not recomend. Mimi's to anybody we come from have a big family over 400 at last reunion. We will not go to this place unless they correct their problems. Or just close til you can run MiMi as it used to be ran!!
I had great experience in the last few visits to Mimis Cafe in their other stores. But unfortunately a lot of them are permanently closed. Today we went to this store, but to be honest I am disappointed. No more yummy bread before orders are served, which we really loved. No more refill. No more server asking how's everything. Food is still ok. But feels like McDonalds now.
The wait staff is great, the kitchen has gone down hill since covid. Last 3 times I've been here I've had poorly cooked dishes. Hope they turn it around.
This pain perdu was delectable, as always, and the orange juice tasted like it came straight from the tree. That's the upside. The not-so-great part? The wait staff apparently lost its collective memory this particular day: Employees forgot to bring napkins, cutlery, salt, sweetener for the coffee, and sour cream. The devil's always in the details ...
Food doesn’t taste good high priced greasy and poor service☹️ very disappointing
First, I'd like to say I'm surprised that the reviews weren't as high. We were seated promptly and the waitress was polite, attentive, and also provided recommendations. They provided bread before our food and it was tasty. Our food was hot and absolutely delicious! I'm weird about my eggs (white needs to be fully cooked) and the waitress said she knows what I'm requesting and will make sure they are right. They came out and were just how I liked them!! We had a great experience and my daughter was planning her next trip to Mimis ?
I ordered a chicken salad and a muffin to go. I was going to a park for lunch. When I got there, I had no silverware to eat with and every single piece of chicken was under cooked, raw, inedible and the raw juices were all over the salad greens so I couldn't eat them either. I paid a lot of money for just a muffin. I would have taken it back but I was meeting a friend at a park across town. ?
I SIMPLY ASKED FOR WELL DONE BACON IT LOOK LIKE THEY BOILED MY BACON I ASKED FOR 3 eggs and only got about 2 the patatos was card
