I ordered items for take out. Eggplant dish wasn't what I was expecting with some extra vegetables. It was spicy. Also the hot and sour soup had shrimp in it and I wasn't expecting it. Good flavor. Might go back if I was in the area.
Used to be our favorite. The food has become a bit more bland lately AND now they charge 15% service fee for dining in! Then you have to tip on the total price, which is meal, tax, and service fee. If you tip 15%, that would be a combined total tip of over 30%. Ridiculous.If they just raise their prices a bit across the board, then there would be no issue.Very disappointed with Double Dragon lately - we're now on a quest for a new favorite Chinese restaurant.
We order soup and shrimp from them and told them 10 no pork no pork no pork( even their order slip says no pork) but when we brought home it was pork I called her she didn’t even say sorry. They are busy they don’t care about your religion, you culture or your taste.
Nice and clean place, simple decoration and friendly staff. I sat down to eat any the waitress came up to me in less than 30 seconds with icedwater and the menu. I order a lunch special dish and it took them less than three minutes to bring it to my table. The food was good, price was ok. I had a good experience and I am looking forward to eating there again.
It is our favorite place why the food is very tasty and we always asked to go but one day we went to eat and it was better why it was freshly made we love it.
I love the chow fun noodles here, they are the best in the world! The price went up to$15 but I got 2 meals out of it.I will bring friends here for sure and they are very careful with the pandemic response,not allowing you to eat in without a vaccination.Yeah someone is listening!! They are starting to raise the prices and adding a 15 0/0 gratuity to the bill to eat in.
Check this place out for authentic Chinese food, before going anywhere. You will find going back again, for the taste. So far, so good found one near me. The 15% service charge for 2 people might leave sour taste. Confucius say, Choose sour or taste.
Best Chinese food in East County! I've always loved the peaceful atmosphere, too. Lately though, every time I've been there for lunch a man has been seated where he can see everyone else, not eating - just drinking beer and staring at everyone. Apparently, he spends hours there every day. It's very uncomfortable to be in his direct line of sight. I wish they would seat him looking out a window rather than at the other customers.
Went there on a Saturday's evening. Order Szechuan beef; dish was half hot(as temperature) and half cold... We didn't think it was going to be bad... But the most disgusting thing was that the servers were wearing gloves; I saw them cleaning up tables, putting their fingers in the the glasses, touching the dirty plates and utensils. Unless they change the gloves after every clean-up or even wash or disinfect them they are transferring what ever to the dishes they are bringing to other tables... DISGUSTING!!! And even if they disinfect them they can leave disinfectant on the dishes. The gloves are for the server's protection and not the customers; They should take off the gloves after cleaning up and wash their hands before serving tables... The table cloth was stained, when I brought it to the attention of the server the response was " we change the cloth every morning..." it was 7pm... it looked like blood... NEEDLESS TO SAY BY MONDAY WE GOT SICK... Too bad we didn't take the leftovers with us... Badly or wrongly heated food can promote salmonella or other bacteria. Sad part, we have be coming here for many years... bad times to make these changes...
I don't understand how the prices of these plates are one of the highest I ever seen, I would of thought I was in SF, not Antioch.The food was average, not bad, but prices were ridiculous.Service was not joyful either, Our waitress gave us our bill half way through our meal, we were being rushed; and they kept coming back every 5 minutes to check how much we tipped.Worst of all, they charge a 15% fee for all dine in customers, due to "Covid", on top of the ridiculous high menu prices.I simply did not tip, they already take it out anyways.Plenty of other options around.
