It was okay. I threw on the avocado from "home" and it made it better but the chicken portion was extremely skimpy, 75% was rice. There was no sauce on the chicken and rice, it was my first time here, and I suppose I don't know how to order it? Yeah right, it's a standard Yoshi's, teriyaki, fast Asian place. I just don't understand how this is $13. If you're like me and camping out of a hotel room, this is better than a can of beans and tuna packets. Just not much bang for your buck.Edit: I contacted the WaBa customer service and they never replied, I decided to give this place another go anyways. The portion was way better, night, and day difference. I also realized that you need to put your own sauce on, oh, okay. They forgot the spicy carrot/jalapeno mix, but I know they aren't robots. Overall, a fast and healthy option.
I do like Waba Grill but I don't like this particular restaurant. They do need to improve their sanitation/cleaning/hygienes as well as their customer service. When I walked in, the person in charge of the front counter was cleaning and wiping the tables. The others in the kitchen saw me waiting to be served but nobody else came over to help me as they were busy too. I waited patiently for a couple of minutes and finally the cleaning gal came inside serve me. At this point, I told her to please sanitize or clean her hands first because I know she will be touching my food.She gave me a negative attitude and replied she was using gloves. I told her it's still unsanitary because her gloves have been contaminated with chemicals and who knows what else. She had to touch those gloves to remove them from her hands so her hands have been exposed to them too. This was also inappropriate because this not a courteous or best way to serve your customers. I was very grossed out and disturbed by it all. She should have washed his or her hands or sanitized her hands first before serving food to others, especially when a customer politely asks them to do so. It's not only good hygienes and sanitation but it's also good manners. I decided to walk out. The manager and staff members there should be more attentive about hygienes and sanitation as do everyone else, especially during this pandemic.I never had to deal with this at Panda Express or PF Changs. Hasn't anybody learned anything from this pandemic? They should know better or receive better training from their leaders. Good hygiene and sanitation is very important and should be one of the things people need to learn from covid. Maybe that's one of the reasons why our country has the most death rates in the world from covid and it's still climbing. It is so humiliating for our great country to go through this because of the constant brain washing influence from Trump and his incompetent, careless, heartless, selfish, foolish, ignorant, and deceitful leadership and terror. Either people are too ignorant to understand or they refuse to understand the reality of the pandemic due to their blind loyalty because they have decided to listen and follow the wrong leader. That does not help anybody as it has already been demonstrated very clearly in the past 2 years. I suggest they all go to the hospitals and see the many severe illnesses and deaths from covid per day, and maybe they can finally open their minds and eyes to the reality of it all. Perhaps, they need to see somebody they love be a serious victim of covid and they can finally see the truth for themselves.
Hard to be surprised with yet another teriyaki counter serve but they did it. Very good and fast. Easily new favorite.
The food is healthy and they also have some vegan dishes and the staff are kind. I tip them in the tip jar when I can. They also take Ebt card which helps. Thanks Waba grill yayyy .love you ?❤️?️ ???

Possibly the best teriyaki place in LA. I admit that I haven’t been to all of them, but the teriyaki sauce here is spot on to Hawaiian style teriyaki. Sweet, savory, with ponzu style flavor. Only flavor missing was a hint of ginger.I ordered the Teri beef and chicken combo. Chicken was tender, beef was slightly overcooked - but it still was tender. Service was friendly and order came out fast.
I walked up, there was a sign that says for all credit transactions there gonna check ID. I used credit to pay and no one checked my ID. Told cashier and she was stunned and didn’t know what to say. Chicken was chewy tasted like rubber. Gross tbh. I asked for the manager however he “goes to multiple stores” Rice was watery and I mentioned my concerns to staff and she didn’t even apologize.
I'm beyond disgusted. I got my order and as I started eating it I noticed a bug that looks like a a moth or cockroach. Horrible horrible!! I'm sick to my stomach and so disturbed. Wth?!?
