This place I would not recommend. Their prices are way over the top..I ordered a simple fish sandwich, small onion ring and a Pepsi the bill was $22.00...outrageous. I asked for the shredded lettuce instead of the leaf they charged me an additional$.99..there is another good burger place on Orangerhorpe (the next street right behind this one) their prices are much more reasonable...
I recently stopped in to Tom’s place while I was training in the area for a new job. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the quality of food and the service. I’m particularly fond of their Turkey club sandwich on Sourdough bread. They do not hold back on anything!! I typically would eat the towering stack of Turkey, ham, bacon, fresh tomato and lettuce throughout my 5-6 hour shifts. The day before I made the mistake of making a similar order at another restaurant and paid approximately $3-4 more and got a much, much, smaller sandwich.In my opinion it is often the local “mom&pop” family style restaurants that provide really good food at the right price, and these days that means A LOT!! Oh yeah, try their fries, they’re the nice big steak cut fries that everyone LOVES, and you get a bag o’ fries….no small, no medium, A BAG O’FRIES!! Enough for 2 regular humans….I’m recommending Tom’s place to anyone who needs a solid breakfast “grab n go” before work, or the “go to” lunch spot like I enjoyed. Just be sure you get there before the rush, they can get a little busy!!
Chicken and Waffle’s is so delicious! The chicken is double fried which makes it extremely juicy and flavorful. The waffles are thick and fluffy. Love this place. A must try.
I have been searching for chili cheese fries that are this good in Orange for over two years!! Literally the best! The cheeseburger and waffle are very good as well! I will definitely be back for more.
I really love the people that work here and the food is good. Though I will say that some days the food is better than other days. I order the same thing once a week and the consistency is not always the same. Example: the breakfast burrito I order sometimes the potato inside the burrito is more crispy or cooked longer than other times. Not that they are undercooked but just not as soft and crispy in parts as my perfect burrito. Still a very good burrito, even on its worst day. This place is almost always busy, a good sign that people like this place.
Terrific family owned and run restaurant. I've tried so many things here and almost everything is great. My favorites are the gyro sandwich, the turkey avocado sandwich, any breakfast burrito, and the burgers are good too. Absolutely terrific french fries and buttermilk ranch. On top of it all the staff is always warm and friendly and treat you like a close neighbor.
We come here when we want to treat ourselves. Good food and big portions. Been going here since it opened. You can see the staff is busting their buts to get the food out quick and hot. If you don't like the way the order comes out, you just have to speak up and they will take care of you. Most importantly, it's clean and comfortable and I like that they have a drive-thru.
The reason is BAD DISPOSITION from employees. They delivered all my parties food except mine the manager had attitude when I asked, being asked when everyone was half finished I thought it to.be In. a timely manner, by the time everyone had finished she just started my meal allowing for my party to have to wait for me to eat. I politely asked for my money back and someone to contact to complain to about her disposition In regards to my meal being started after everyone was finished at that time she said there was no one to contact I called the number of the restaurant to hopefully get contact with someone of authority to speak with about her disposition and her purposefull intent to create problem for my party due to me asking about my meal that she overlooked at first but then turned it into a vengeful situation, due to her part for not acting upon my request halfway through my parties meal. I base review on the managers flagrant disregard for being able accept a request for patrons meal with their party when every member feeling unease that I am still without my meal while manager was serving meals to other patrons whom arrived 1/2 hour later than our party. I would like to see from that manager some sort training for customer service with the understanding that the patrons who go to the establishment should not be treated as I was especially from a manager whom know better.
The best chicken and waffles I’ve ever eaten in Orange County! A very unpresumptuous diner on the outside but on the inside it looks like an old Skool diner. Lots to choose from on the menu and the chicken is fried with the perfect amount of batter served with tender waffles, a generous amount of butter and syrup. It can be shared or if you like large portions, go for it!!
Best chicken strips & ? fries I've ever eaten. Great weekend takeout for family movie time. *Drive-thru diner*But, got the smallest cheeseburger ? ($5.39) and had to pay an additional $5.39 to make it a meal (add ? and ?). That's a little overpriced. And the menu was deceiving about additional cost.Otherwise, I loved it and will be going back.$35. And change for 2 adults and a child.
