I'm a very serious "taco" ? guy, I had been across the street in a Chinese & Pho zone is "cash only" dining, which I don't care for...so hidden away next to Walmart is this place.I've never been, it takes me a few minutes as the kid "didn't take my order" but gave me a drink cup...I don't really understand as I've got to use the restroom & wash my hands...I was given the WRONG code ??!First visit, their Menu is very large and my stepdaughter used to work at a different one I decided on a 3 taco plate w guacamole as something the "trucks" don't really offer...These were quite small and there wasn't a lot of guacamole, the plate came w beans & cheese in ridiculously small portions...good but 3 fork fulls was a serious ? let down.About that time I "realized why they put 3 "different types of salsa" as I'd ordered their sampler plate, I don't eat "green tomatoes" so that's one you'll want to try for yourself. The meat was OK, somewhat chewy w some decent flavor, just quite small for $10 order it's NOT a good bargain...tacos are $2 here around town ?Overall it was disappointing plus I stopped at the VFW to buy 2 more tacos ? as I was still very hungry just 2hrs after...you won't be seeing me at Rubio's ever again...The prices were high/ portions crazy small but it's "dead" with maybe 6 other diners but there's 4 employees who are sitting around on the clock ⏰ doing nothing...perhaps this explains the problem of no food for $10°°♧
Rubio's is usually my go to place for lunch. I usually dine in and there has been no issue. This is my second time ordering a chicken bowl to go, I get back to my office only to bite into BURNT ( and i mean black crisp) chicken. The first time I thought maybe they were having an off day, but this is just a bit much. If you guys wouldn't serve it to guests dining in that can complain, don't serve it on to go orders. its horrible to order a chicken bowl for lunch and have to eat around the chicken.
They always get the order wrong even on the web orders. They also lowered rhe food quantity recently. The management does not respond to critical reviews with rheir receipts.
I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. Not the friendlies service but the food was very good
The picture of the food looked a lot better. I realize avocado prices have increased but what they put in my bowl was criminal. Although short staffed, our food came in a reasonable time. It wasn't that busy either. (Sorry I didn't take a picture.)
Go to California fish grill.I had original fish taco and it was just huge amount of cabbage and dry fish with some ketchup looking thing. Ugh
Ordered the steak quesadilla and was AMAZING as always. I could eat that everyday if I could. Very good!
I always order the mahi burrito because its what I've found that's not too spicy for me. The more I order it though, the less I'm enjoying it and I don't order from Rubio's often. I'm not sure if its me or if they're making it differently every time. Anyway...for $12-$13 I would like some consistency.
Fish tacos yum.. good seafood options
I love rubios. First time at same location. I am sure the food is same quality as all rubios. Marked down one star because front desk person was sureptiously eating chips..from the bags prepped.for customer orders i think. I dont want to think someone put their hand in my bag of chips and popped one in their mouth
