Roscoes is a classic socal spot. The waffles are delicious. They’re large format with a light soft texture and a hint of cinnamon sugar baked in.The butter is wet and light and melts instantly on the waffles.Drench them in syrup and they’ll be gone before you know it.The fried chicken is great. Freshly fried and crisply seasoned skin. You can pick from a quarter or half chicken alongside the waffles. If you’re extra hungry the chili cheese fries with extra chicken are a delight.

Friendly staff. Clean place. Chicken wasn't cooked all the way . Corn bread was hard as a rock. The greens tasted like spinach and served to me cold. Red beans and rice was okay.

What happened to the original Roscoes. The waffles are horrible. I am not sure what the new recipe is but it taste mother like old shoe laces. We were excited to come here while on our staycation but the waffles were the worse I ever had.

If you love chicken and waffles, this is the place to go for southern comfort food. Just be aware that there's not a whole lot on the menu that's considered "healthy"... but that's not why you go here, right? By the way, their Rosco's sauce is awesome - we buy a bottle of it every time we go and use it on everything in our house!

Maybe, we had set too much of a high expectation for this place. We were so excited about getting a chance to visit. The food was just okay. I had the Obama special. My chicken wings were good, but my waffle honestly tasted like frozen waffles that was put into a toaster. My daughter and husband had chicken tenders that looked like they were cooked in old grease. Not sure what was up with security being that the other places didn’t have security. I guess it’s a good thing.

Disappointing is all I can say about the entire experience. Cold chicken, small portions, poor service, dull knives could cut waffle at all, dirty bathrooms in complete disarray but not a long wait to get in.

This is an interesting place. I ordered the Sco #2 and the waffles were excellent but the chicken was just okay and the gravy is also just okay. I heard somebody next to me try to order the Obama special but didn't want beans on it. The waiter said they had to get beans because that's the way Obama had it. I thought that was a bit ridiculous since that's not what the customer wanted. I probably wouldn't go back to this place since there's so many other better places to eat in the area.

My son begged me to take him here during our trip to Disneyland because he’d heard good things. Ended up being one of our worst restaurant experiences ever. The hostess was rude and our waitress seemed annoyed with us for taking our time figuring out what to order. The food was cafeteria quality at best and part of my order was missing. Could not get out of there fast enough . You would be better off at IHOP down the street.

Great proportions. Ok prices.Simple no frills decor.Chicken was average.S. O. S. Omelette and toast was great.Chicken chili was much better than expected. -- which helped save the day flavor-wise for the mediocre fried chicken.

Extremely variable quality! I came here two nights in the same week, the first night, it was ECSTASY. Literally the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The waffles are fine, whatever. Two days later, the staff is an entirely different crew, and the chicken was an absolute disappointment. Greasy! Crunchy instead of crispy! I wish I took a picture of the underside of the chicken because it was absolutely coated in oil. The service is very fast and the staff are friendly, but it was super disappointing that the quality varied that much between weekday and weekend crews
