I wont say that every experience ive had at a Rodrigos is 2 star worthy. Ive had many pleasant experiences. My recent experience tho, leaves me quite unsatisfied and frustrated. Im not the one to complain or voice my opinion when i dont like something at a restaurant. The only reason i leave a two star review and not a one star review is because of the service. I was very satisfied with the kindness and quickness of the servers. The food on the other hand was quite sad. I dont find myself to be a food critic, but after tasting my enchilada plate, i found many things to be critical of. The tortillas were stale and stiff on the ends. The cheese had the tell tale sings of being microwaved (oil seperation, and very thick and chewy). The chips for the chips and salsa were stale, and the rice and beans had obviously been microwaved as well. Honestly the coke was the best part of my meal:/
Also known as the "old" Don Jose Mexican Restaurant; this place has surpassed my expectations!! Everything was just perfect. The service was excellent!! The food was delicious and brought to our table fast. The lighting is ambient and the decor has a vintage Mexican vibe. Old dark woods, a dimmer color palate and let lovely traditional art and ceramics on the walls. The Blue Agave Margarita was to die for and is a MUST have!!! We were truly impressed and are most surely going to make this our new local spot for Mexican, drinks and an all around nice evening out.
I ordered online at 2:30 pm. To have my order picked up at 5:30. I got there at 5:20 and they told me they were just packing up my order. At 6pm. I'm still waiting on my order. All the while, door dash, or Uber eats, or whoever just comes in and gets their order right away.Ok. If there was a mistake and they never made my order, why lie to me and tell me they are packing it up. I finally got my order at 6:10. Obviously they had to prepare the food before they could pack up my order. When I get home,y street taco's we're on corn tortillas not the flour I ordered. At this point I didn't even feel like eating.Folks should never lie to cover their mistakes.
The workers there were outstanding .the food is delicious wonderful place to eat I definitely recommend .
Used to be Don Jose, now it's Rodrigo's. Still a family experience, good quality food. We usually get things to go. So the chips and salsa varies each time we go. Still great food

Great experience. Our servers were very attentive and our food arrived quickly. The chips were warm and perfectly salted. The cheese enchiladas were delicious.
Used to love this restaurant until one of their staff members stole my wallet after I left it on the table. Then called to ask the manager and he told me no they didn't have my wallet without even looking first.
