The blackened chicken "mac and cheese" (its a penne pasta) was one of the best things I've ever eaten. We also tried the jumbo (entree vers, a little too salty), blackened salmon (it was good), and jambalaya (it was good). The bread pudding was a little too chocolate-y for our taste, but the overall food quality here is fantastic. Service is very accommodating. We came walk-in around 4, but reservations might be better for later dinners.
Ordered the small order of beignets because we had read online that some people liked them better than the beignets at Disneyland. However, we are not those people. They were okay but we definitely prefer the ones in Disneyland. These are denser whereas the ones in Disneyland are light and airy. This is just a matter of preference and we can see how somebody would like these over the Disneyland ones. One of these will fill you up because how dense they are versus the ones at Disneyland where it feels like a light snack.
Fantastic. The food is to die for. I loves the atmosphere. The staff is fun and interesting and knowledgeable. The glazed beignet cocktail was a sweet way to start my meal. The Louisiana craw fish spring rolls are an exciting and exotic flavor combination I did not know I wanted. The poh' boy is incredible. Crunchy and just crazy delicious The beignets are a decadent way to end your meal. Make sure you get the banana Foster's version.
Met friends at the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Good thing we made a reservation for dinner. It gets busy. Food was good, a bit on the salty side. Somewhat overpriced. Majority of entrees $30+. Our server was very good. Birthday girl received two gratis beignets as a dessert treat.
For a restaurant in Downtown Disney it's was very reasonable! Our dinner was only $68.00 and we couldn't finish our meal. We had the fried chicken BLT and it was amazing! Our server was Danielle and she was top notch and so personable! There was a tall man that was seating people, I think, I don't know what his job was but, he's the only experience that just didn't fit in.We started off with the seasoned Tater Tots appetizer and it came with 2 different styles of sauce used for dipping, oooo' was it the best I've ever had. I had to ask for more to take home! I must enjoy hot peppers with all my meals and when I asked for some, they came sliced and fresh, no cans! That's makes it a number 1 for me, it's the little things.Remember to take your parking pass with you and have it validated because the 2 hour grace of free parking at the park is over since COVID. It's $10.00 for 4 hours, so don't leave it in the car! Stop over by Sprinkles or Marceline's for a sweet desert, and, yes, the Jazz Kitchen does have amazing donuts but, I tell you, it'll be a filling meal, you'll have to carry your stomach out!Thank you, Jazz Kitchen.
We sat outside on the porch so we were able to people watch. The weather was overcast but they turned on the patio heaters and it warmed up quickly. The food was very good overall and the atmosphere was pleasant. Excellent service
This is probably the best restaurant at downtown Disney, with that said, there was no bread or anything served before our main courses arrived. We order no appetizers, as there where only 3 items to chose from.My wife ordered the Steak Medallions, the steak was medium, cooked to perfection, and it was delicious, moist, and the sauce, potatoes fingerling, and caned pecans complimented the steak. The string beans were a nice touch.I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. Now I have had my shares of Shrimp and grits, after all I am from the Big Easy, and the #1 place is #Tiffins Restaurant at Animal Kingdom in Disney World, but these come in at #2. The grits were perfect, cheesy, but not overpowering, 7 medium sized Shrimp perfectly cooked, with a nice Zesty sauce that gave it a perfect taste. For dessert Beignet with a side of caramel sauce. Almost as good as the Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter in Nawlins, no Café au lait, but this ain't Nawlins. Haha. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Well we've been here in the past and they used to have Banana Foster made at your table, I was really looking forward to that, but Covid messed that up!!! So a Solid 4.8 out of 5.Shot out to our waitress Duvi, she was the best!!! Be warned the prices are expensive, but hey this is Disney after all. My wife and I, No appetizers, 1 glass of wine, 2 dirty martinis, 2 meals, and dessert, $152 without tip, but worth it, since the wife and I are foodies ?.
Wow! We were so full and happy when we left this restaurant! Everything was great from the service to the drinks & appetizers, the meal, the dessert, the live entertainment. We loved our evening at Downtown Disney and our meal here.
I am more than accustomed to the exorbitant prices for the average food Disney subjects their guests to, but Ralph Brennans took it too far. This was truly the first time I looked at the bill and felt I was ripped off. First, the chicken po boy is literally the kids chicken tenders between 2 pieces of bread. Dry and flavorless. Caesar salad is the bagged stuff you get at the grocery store. The gumbo was decent. There are much better options in Downtown Disney and in the parks. If in a pinch it will do, but do yourself a favor by preplanning and making reservations somewhere better.
Met some friends here for lunch. Good food and I suggest getting the bread with the Gumbo when they offer it. Bread is fresh and soft and compliments the Gumbo. Also our server was awesome and was able to split checks among our large group. They have a convenient feature that lets you scan an ir code on your receipt and pay for the bill with your phone. So great! No more waiting for a seever to grab your CC and walk away with it to pay. Will he back!
