Very good food at a great price. The burgers were flame broiled and tasted great and the fries were cooked perfectly. Also had teriyaki chicken, fish and chips, and fried shrimp. It was all very good.Only downside was the rice wasn't great and the taquitos were generic.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. Jims Super Burgers is a classic American burger joint with large variety of other foods to choose from. Great diner. The walk up order counter is the way to go if you live in the area, but I saw one guy had called in his order so they do that too. The typical Jims customer is probably take out, but they do offer outdoor seating. I’ve tried many different items here and it always hits the spot, my husband’s go-to is the classic burger and fries or sometimes the bacon burger and fries. I forgot to take a photo of the burgers, but hopefully you get the idea.
I grew up in South Gate with a legendary place similar to this. They never left. It's a Tom's. I gotta say mom's and pop's shops better get it together. The taste is not there. If you know you know. Same with my Tom's. Why is it so hard to make a tasteful burger. I gotta think it's the ingredients. It's the name of the game but I don't think they will ever be back like before. Thousand Island dressing was whack. Whack. The worst is the fries. No consistent seasoning. I wasn't gonna miss on this place. I'm a CA men and this where the Cali burger was born. Don't you guys have any shame?
Always have delicious food. Faves: French toast breakfast. Chicken strips or crispy Chicken Burger. Great fries. All the beef burgers. Combos include fries and fountain drink. Iliad the curvy menu who j appears to be more streamlined these days vs past menus.
I ate here like 8 yrs ago and it was all bad, but now with new management I was turned on by my wife Jamey and it's illegal to be this dam ?. Biscuits and gravy the breakfast lineup period, them delicious well-done fried zucchini, the awesome incredible delicious bacon mushroom burger is the absolute best I've had. You can taste everything in that burger there's nothing overriding any flavor of the burger. Yes return is a must haha
I've been coming to this spot for years now and the quality of their food and service only goes up from every visit. The food very fairly priced especially for the quality that is provided. 10/10, if you've never been before be careful with their ranch because it can be a little addicting as well.
Ordered a breakfast burrito and a side of hash browns. Both were good for the price. The service from the lady taking my order was great. She was warm and friendly.
Been eating there for years. NO MORE. Today is second time I went there and after ordering took over 1 hour to get my food. All the walk in people were waiting A VERY LONG TIME. Employees take phone orders over the people who show up in person. so you order a burger and if the person who phoned in their order shows up, they give your food to them and start your order all over again. I've purchased Steak sandwich and fried zucchini. The portions are generous and price is very reasonable. Try this place once, you'll be back for more.
