We returned twice on our 5 day trip to SanFrancisco. Shared Lands End and Cookie Crumble between 4 of us both times. They are huge and we didnt finish either days. I recommend the big shop upstairs...just a more authentic experience. The tables turn over pretty quick. They gave my littles a chocolate syrup sample as we left...they were thrilled! Would recommend Ghirardelli Square to anyone who visits SanFran!
We stopped here for a rest & some treats. My family and I had just been saying how the Disney employees in the park were so unfriendly this trip and seemed bored or overworked , making us feel that some of the magic had gone. As we entered the chocolate shop, we were taken a bit back and pleasantly surprised at how bubbly and friendly the employees of Ghirardelli's were! What really made it special is how kind Irene our cashier was. She asked if we had a Disney member discount. When I told her we didn't, she asked if I was military. I was (an Army Veteran), and she applied a discount! All of the Disney stores in said they didn't offer a discount to military families in all park stores & yet this little ice cream parlor not only did, but asked ME for it first! Disney seems to support all kinds of things in there parks today but don't support our military? A thank you to Irene and the staff for putting a smile on our face with tasty treats, positive attitudes and smiles. And to Ghirardelli's for recognizing our Military members. Disneyland could learn a thing or 2 from this establishment!!! 5 stars.
We ordered the GOLD MINE. delicious. Awesome customer service.
Cool & refreshing on a hot day! Frozen cocoa was fabulous! Super clean & staff was very helpful & attentive. Already been back again!
Three of the last four times I have been to California Adventure these people have been out of brownies indefinitely. If you sell a sundae for $17.50 you should have the brownies for it!!!
My family ordered two sundaes to split. We got the sea salted Carmel and chocolate and the cookie one. So good! Multiple checkout cashiers, and a pick up counter in the back. Very nice and convenient.
At checkout after filling my lovely box of chocolates at $13.95, I was asked if I was military and I responded yes. They then jacked the price up to $20 and took 15% off, deliberately up charging AFTER I informed I was an injured veteran. The manager, Joanna, is evidently very anti military, gouging us just to stick it to us one more time. This experience put such a horrible taste in my mouth, and we walked out after getting a refund. I will attach a receipt as proof of the hateful acts of a company I formerly supported.Shame on you.
Nothing beats this for icecream. The toppings are fantastic, the brownies taste like they just took them out of the oven.Servers are always friendly, wait is short and prices are fair. Your icecream sundae will be stuffed with toppings and you will not feel shorted for the price you paid.
They were out of brownies and have been using significantly smaller cups for the last few times I have visited. They also no longer carry chocolate chip ice cream. Because the cups are smaller, none of their lids fit, so I had to get another cup elsewhere to have a lid. I have never had an experience like that there before this year. The picture shows the cup they gave me inside a regular-sized drink cup. (The Ghirardelli normal size is the same as the outside cup.) Everything still tasted delicious. The cast member said they should be getting the regular cups back in soon. The prices for the smaller serving sizes were still the same regular prices.
This location is extremely unprofessional and not customer friendly. I ordered my favorite shake 4 different times. Every single time they gave me the wrong shake. When I brought it to the managers (!) attention, I was treated as though what I wanted was of no concern. I was told, even though they admitted to giving me the wrong shake, that it tastes the same and I was given back the shake I didn’t order, with no resolve. Uncaring, and callous. Very rude. This should not have been the outcome of my experience. I should have been given the correct order the first time. And, given a free replacement of the correct shake upon my attempt to return and replace the wrong shake for the correct shake. Instead, I paid for several wrong shakes, trying to get the shake that I really wanted.
