Disneyland tickets are already $200+ per person for park hoppers. What’s another $200 for dinner? If you want fine dining, you go to a nice restaurant. But if you want to be treated like a super VIP and watch peasants and pirates row past you during dinner, you go to the Blue Bayou.Lalaine, Jeff, and Chai made our trip to Disneyland that much more magical. I will definitely be bringing all my friends and family here when we inevitably return for more Mickey Mouse mayhem.Oh, and the food was delicious. Definitely try the jambalaya and trust Jeff’s dessert recommendations!

Love the setting, you are sitting right in the bayou of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Watching the boats full of guests quietly floating by and listening to the banjo picking from the shack on the water is peaceful and very atmospheric. Keep an eye out for the fireflies!I always dine here when I am taking in Disneyland. The Monte Cristo is awesome. The Blue Bayou is expensive and worth every penny. Great place for a date or any time you want a special experience. Truly unique.

Service was quick, but I have to say-- the food was not up to snuff for the price. Mind you, I have been to the Blue Bayou in Tokyo and it was DIVINE. The lightning, the music, and the flavors all melded together perfectly to create an atmosphere of elegance, but here at the Anaheim one it just felt...haphazard. For number one, it was too dark. I felt like I was inside a sweaty cave, especially with how hot it was outside and with so many people milling around shouting at the staff. The portions for the dessert are horrendously small, and for the actual main courses they were either surprisingly bland/underseasoned or had half the plate taste amazing (the jambalaya meats & shrimp) with the other half waving a flag of mediocrity (the jambalaya rice). Overall, not impressed.I didn't like how all over the place the service was either. Everything felt too high-strung and rushed for an establishment considered on the "fancy" side within Disneyland. Meh. Probably won't go back until the Mouse House gets better talent acquisition and quality control with their food, as well as better benefits for their overworked management.PLEASE NOTE: Photos posted here have the brightness turned up.EXTRA NOTE: Photos are up close and may not accurately portray how small these portions really are, particularly the pathetic sliver of berry-garnished chocolate cake that was smaller than the actual fork they give you to eat with it ???

I wanted to update this review. We spoke to Disney Customer Service and they have refunded us for this dinner. It is clear others at Disney agree this is not the kind of experience customers should be having. Hopefully, there will be some much needed changes to the way things are right now at this location.----In one sentence: Fine dining prices, for the cheap restaurant chain experience.I went to this restaurant last year, and had a wonderful experience. Good food, service, and ambiance. This year things have changed for the worse, but please judge for yourselves:1. About 3x as many tables: this meant much less attention from the staff and much longer wait times at the door: for us, ~30 min past the reservation time.2. Over 1h before we got the food: I wanted to separate this item from the previous because we had to point out to the staff several times that the kids were starving. We had to give them bars while waiting for the food, and one waiter brought white rice (!) to hold one over.3. No bread: this changed from last year and, other than greed, what else could justify this?4. Gratuity was included in bill: we had 10 people at the table, so they went ahead and included a 20% gratuity for themselves. I think at least they should list that as "extortion fee" given that one has no alternative to experience their horrible service and pay this.Anyway, I hope this helps someone from ruining their day or at the very least help adjust your initial expectations for this place.

Make sure to snag reservation as early as possible, and don't be surprised their Kitchen is backed up. Last few visits getting our food out has been extremely slow.

Service is what you would expect at a fast food sit-down restaurant, usually having to wait nearly 10 minutes before being greeted by waitstaff, not a fine dining establishment. Bread service had been discontinued and the drinks are limited so you're not going to get a full gastronomic experience like you would at a better restaurant with the same menu and pricing. The food doesn't have the attention to detail that you would expect. The kitchen staff does not understand how to fire dishes in a manner that gets all food out hot and cooked to perfection at the same time. The most recent time I've been there my food was cold, one friend's was warm, and my friends steak was rare (picture of the rare steak attached) when she asked for medium (her prerogative). The steak had to be sent back twice and when it came back they had butterflied it and the edges were burnt. The only reason I continued to eat there was out of town friends came in but now that almost all of them have had terrible meals there I'm off the hook from having to eat at this atrocious place ever again.

Excellent food and great service!

Fun atmosphere, classic Cajun cuisine, fast service without feeling rushed.

Best place to eat at Disneyland. Plane way ahead for a reservation. Love the restaurant and you’re sitting in the pirates of the Caribbean.

Nestled inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride the Blue Bayou has excellent ambiance as well as excellent food. If you're lucky enough to get a table enjoy it!
