The quality of the food & service goes beyond words. Blake comes around to ask how you're doing & the atmosphere is great!Now the food, it's amazing! The bbq beans are incredible! The ribs, the brisket, not to mention their very own sauce. Tremendously delicious. I highly recommend.
I am so happy to have found this place. The owner and staff are very friendly. They went above and beyond going over everything on the menu with me. Food is fantastic with generous portions. Overall a great experience. Can't wait to go back.

Two truths about BBQ. 1 taste is a personal preference. 2. Its expensive.If you go into a BBQ place know this you can't be too disappointed.Service was good; helpful and courteous.Selection was mixed, but the set up of the place is really nice. Indoor, outdoor covered and outdoor.My preference was outdoor and it set the mood for a relaxed meal.Food was good. Not incredible, but good.Brisket was a little dry, so it needed the sauce, and the smoked turkey was the same.Baby back ribs were a little small from usual, but tasty.Smoked pork was very good and the sides went well. We had beans, potato salad and sweet potato fries.Food was split between 3 and 4, but add good service and nice dining area and pushed easily into the 4 range.
Most depressing brisket I’ve ever tasted in my life, it blew past my lowest expectations. Not a grain of salt touched this meat, and probably not a lick of real smoke either as there’s virtually no smoke ring. 2 pity stars because the employees are nice and at least the meat wasn’t bone dry.

First time and it was absolutely delicious. Spicy BBQ sauce is amazing.
Go for the Brisket. Unbelievably tender, juicy and not dry. This sort of meat can be hit and miss at any BBQ joint. Blakes delivers and will make you want to go there again. Drop some extra BBQ sauce on there, add some beans or Mac & Cheese and call it a day.
I was in the neighborhood and was craving BBQ and found this spot with a lot or good reviews. I enjoy supporting non-chains but something is fishy because the food wasn’t good at all. 4.6 rating with 900+ reviews but it almost has as much as Lucille’s in Orange which serves much more people… I recommend to avoid this place… the quality of meats used is poor in quality (bad texture and alot of fat), sauce taste so generic, and every meat I had was super dry.
Blake’s Place consistently rises to the top of my North OC barbecue places. I periodically do go to others, but keep reconfirming my conclusion that this is the best. Baby back ribs are better here than anywhere else in the area time after time. Barbecue sauce is also great.
