I went to Black Tap twice on a trip to Anaheim. This place is primarily a burger joint with a fine selection of beers. However, what really made it special were the shakes. I was not aware of how good the shakes were on my first visit. A few of my dining companions ordered shakes with their burgers, and they looked incredible. These specialty shakes were enormous. A few nights later, after a day spent in Disneyland (did I mention they are conveniently located in the middle of Downtown Disney?) we went to the walk up window outside where you can just get shakes. We ordered a chocolate chip cookie shake and a few other shakes to split among the four of us (I was there with my family). They were huge, delicious, and filing. So, while the burgers are good and the beer is cold, I'd really recommend Black Tap for their shakes. That was the star for us.
My husband and I have been wanting to dine here since we planned our trip to Disneyland. We were super stoked until we got there. Stood in line for 15 minutes to order our food. Had to find a table to sit at. They give you a number to set on the table so the employees bring your food and shakes, which is nice. But Waited an overall 20 minutes for our food and shakes to arrive. Let me just say, the food wasn’t that great. I ordered the truffle burger that was priced at $23 bucks thought it would be worth it but it didn’t get my panties wet and I love love food! So it wasn’t worth it to me! The SHAKES though, made my nips hard so it was definitely worth it!!! Lol ?If you decide to dine here just be prepared for the long lines and the wait time for your food and shakes. Overall, I rate it 3 stars because the Shakes were definitely worth the wait!
Stopped here for a quick bite while we were in Downtown Disney. The wait to order wasn't long, and they brought our food out to us pretty quick. Everything was just as we ordered it! The food was amazing! My son decided to get one of their signature shakes.. it was ginormous! We'll definitely be eating here again!
The crispy chicken salad is big enough to share!
Get there early as this place is popular. We went at 1130 AM and beat the rush. I love that this place offers a Military Discount. One of the few in Downtown Disney and Disneyland. Service was fast, food was high quality, so much we thanked the manager for the great service and wonderful food. Best Chicken Strips I have ever had!!!!
Great food! The seating wasn’t best but the wait staff did a good job at accommodating all the customers. The prices were competitive for the area. The food was not the best because it’s probably primarily a dessert place. It’s a one and done for me.
This is a fun place with tons of specialty homemade milk shakes. The servings were large. The burgers were the best after a day of touring Disney Village. the atmosphere is fun.
We went here because a few members in our party are vegan. We arrived at 7:00pm. We waited in line for about 45 minutes. All fine, we know waiting is part of it. We had 2 adults and 3 kids. We ordered. 45 minutes after we ordered still no food. Nothing. We asked where our food was they said it was coming... Then, 15 minutes later, nothing. We asked for a refund and left with three hungry small children. Not good. We won't be back. The manager was a nice female, but the guy running the line was clearly irritated that we were complaining and was talking into his headpiece very unfriendly to the woman that was helping us. Again, don't go here. NOT WORTH IT.
They advertise onion rings and there are no onion rings. I ordered chips and guac, soda and a strawberry milkshake. They were both very good, but I would have preferred to have my milkshake after my chips and guac and not be forced to eat it first before it melted.
Ordered the portobello sandwich. The mushroom was coated in a thick brown coat of overfried batter. Described as spicy....it was inedibly hot. No one in our party of 8 raved about their burger choice. Sweet potato fries were good. Would not return.
