we had the fried rice, fish pickled soup and pork spare ribs for a weekend lunch.it was made with the right flavors, and quality, albeit slightly pricy. The picked soup is rare to find done right, so this was great.Portions are very good, so all in all, it's worth the money.Service was quick, friendly and professional. Restaurant was clean and well-designed.
My friend took me here for lunch. She has been to the other location, first time at this one. Popular place, we got there just in time, right before the lunch crowd came and took up all the seating. When you are seated, there is a QR code to log into the menu on your phone. I will say, it took a wait to finally get a servers attention to take our order. To note: this location does not serve alcohol (OK what goes down with spicy hot food but a good ice-cold beer) and paper plates, paper bowls and plastic forks, spoons are used. We ordered the Boiled Fish with Rattan Pepper (Fresh Boneless Fish Fillets, Rattan Peppers, Fresh Bell Peppers, Sprouts, Black Fungus) and the Mini Lamb Skewer (Mutton, Dried Chilies, Scallions, Cilantro) and a Diet Coke. When the food came it was all hot, fresh, and smelling wonderful. Honestly the BEST fish I've ever had... seriously, melts in your mouth, just the right heat, and so light. The lamb was fantastic, though my friend said the dish was missing the skewer/toothpicks that the other restaurant had. To be honest, it's a kill joy eating off of paper plates and bowls with plastic utensils and after we finished, we waited and waited for the check until I finally got up to get the attention for someone to give us a check. Atmosphere: good, clean, open with additional seating outside. Service: needs improvement. Food: outstanding!
In the top tier of authentic Sichuan restaurants for the entire US. The mapo tofu is the authentic to what I've had in Chengdu. Highly recommend. And I don't say that lightly.
This place has been our go-to when craving for Sichuan food. The spicy boiling fish, beef, and many more authentic Sichuan dishes are so great !
One of the most authentic Sichuan restaurant I have been to with awesome services as well. Great flavor and spice level. Clean and safe place to eat as well with good pricing
It was cold inside, but the food was delicious and hot (minus the cold noodle). QR code menu.Ordered family style to share between 41. Wontons 5/5 loved the spicy sauce it came with2. Kung pao chicken 5/5 very flavorful and perfect sauciness3. Impressive cold noodles 5/5 very flavorful4. Fried rice 4/55. Toothpick mutton 3/5 too much cumin, but that might have been the point. Used the leftover sauce from the wonton to drown out the cumin flavorM/W shared Bathroom 2/5
Love the food. If you like spice, this is the place for you. Numbing Peppers
Went today for the first time in years.Squid dry pot is very flavorful, but beware its the only "? ? ? " item on the menu, i.e. it's super spicy. Potato seemed a little starchy.Toothpick lamb was very well seasoned, but the meat was fattier than ideal.Grandma's Pickled Cucumber was tasty, had more dry chilis than expected.Overall, good, maybe the dishes picked today were a little too similar with the dry chili focus.
The beef and rice was really good but the intestine (pig) soup with potatoes was beyond awful. I believed it’s due to a specific seasoning. You will have a horrible taste in your mouth and stomach. But overall, the place is decent enough to go eat just pick carefully. They were very polite and the place is super clean
Mao cai and fish in red chili oil is my favorite. Their house fried rice is pretty great too. One of the best Sichuan restaurants period, and it’s so consistent. Service is also wonderful, join the waitlist on yelp.
