We are 1st timer dine in Foods are so good & serving food fast
We ate here for Father's Day lunch, and we all enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and attentive. We found several items that were especially delicious! Each person selected a different broth base. There were many veggies and sauces you can add. We were very happy with the quality, value, and taste of everything! We plan to return soon!
Big selection of broths and salad bar. Staff was attentive and friendly. Place was very clean and inviting. We thought we may have to wait a long time, but it only took about 20 minutes! Lots of different meats! I think next time I will skip the salad bar(cept for broth flavoring items and sauces) and focus on the meat.
I think this is one of the best AYCE shabu spots I’ve been to.- Unlimited fountain drinks. Green tea is refreshing.- Soft serve after dinner. It’s my favorite way to end the meal. The last time I went the vanilla side wasn’t working but it’s super good.- Great sauce bar! Other places I’ve been the sauces have been super runny and thin. Their sesame and peanut sauce is thick and great for dipping. They also have a great variety.- Meat is super thin and comes in small portions. It really lets you pace yourself and order just the right amount. I get super overwhelmed when the meat portions are massive because I’m worried I won’t be able to finish or I’ll have to force it down so I don’t get extra charged.- Service is fast and meat comes out quick.- There are hot food offerings and banchan. Just filler in my opinion but still great!
Although I haven't had Shabu before, it seems like this is more akin to chinese hot pot as other reviewers have mentioned, but offering more korean than chinese dishes.Regardless, the food was delicious! Huge selection of seafood and vegetables, along with a small section of hot foods. There are quite a bit of Korean dishes like kimchi, japchae, and bulgogi, all of which were surprisingly great for a place that doesn't specialize in cooked dishes.Hot pots are individual here which is nice as you can flavor your broth however you like, but rhe drawback being you'll have to eat a lot to get a rich depth of flavor in the broth.Meats were great quality and everything is ayce. Definitely a must try for any hot pot/ Korean food fan!
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food was fine. I thought the bone broth would have more flavor seeing how stock is derived from bones. It was just a bit bland. The spicy miso was great. Would have wanted a different flavor other than vanilla ice cream but it's still refreshing after some shabu.
Restaurant was overpriced, too warm, and some foods did not feel fresh. This place is all you can eat, but each table can only order 3 meats at a time. There are some cooked Korean food, side dishes, and self serve veggies and some other hot pot fixings like fish balls, seafood etc. Some of the little octopus I had did not taste fresh so I avoided the rest of the seafood. The climate indoors was stuffy and too warm, I was sweating trying to eat some hot pot.
Overpriced for bland soup and a small selection of food. There needs to be more variety in the sauces and the restaurant needs to be kept cleaner. Meat was decent, but the servers need to tell you what they're serving you as they give it to you not just place the meat and go. Price needs to be lowered to compensate for this.
All That Shabu is a welcome addition to the plethora of AYCE hot pot restaurants in the SGV area. While some restaurants have good quality meat but a poor selection in the salad bar (or vice versa), I would say that All That Shabu manages to put out good quality meat along with a fairly decent selection in both salad bar and cooked food options. This location recently opened up in the Sprouts and Burlington plaza and they're already pretty busy on weekends.I've been here twice for dinner - both times during a weekday and they get busy quickly around 6-8 PM. Prices are $23.99 during weekday lunch, $29.99 during weeday dinner, weekends, and holidays. For $6 more, you get the option to choose from the dinner/weekend meat selections, which I think is pretty worth it. There's the usual brisket, pork belly, flat iron steak, but their special meats include filet mignon, ribeye, lamb, and chuck flap. And the meat that they serve is cut pretty thinly, with each plate looking fresh every time.Everybody gets their own hot pot where you choose the selection of soup (original, miso, vegetarian, beef bone, or spicy beef) before you get the opportunity to tackle the hot appetizers and salad bar. They have the usual chicken, kimchi, sesame balls, japchae, fried rice while the salad bar has a variety of vegetables (spinach, bok choy, kale, squash, bean sprouts, corn, mushroom), seafood items (clams, crawfish, shrimp, octopus, scallop, mussels) and noodle selections (udon, spinach noodles, instant ramen, potato ramen, glass noodles). They's also a variety of fish balls, various fish balls, fish tofu, fried tofu, lotus root, etc. So overall, a good selection of items to fill in your hot pot. There's unlimited soda or unsweetened green/black tea as well as a soft-serve ice cream machine. And of course, the sauce bar. Because this is more of a Korean AYCE hot pot, they don't offer satay, which was a little disappointing when I brought my parents. But they do have ponzu, sesame, wasabi ponzu, peanut and garnishes including garlic, cilantro, radish to whip up your sauce creations. So yeah, there's probably something for everybody! When I went to eat with my co-workers, we ordered plates of meat continuously so I didn't really know which ones I was eating except that it all tasted really good. Meats were soft and tender, some a bit more fatty than others. And I do think I enjoyed the ones in the weekend/dinner selections more than the regular menu.I will say that the broth isn't anything special. For $30, if you maximize on the meats and eat a good amount of vegetables, seafood - it will likely seem worth it at the end of the meal. Workers were pretty helpful even when the restaurant was super busy.Right now because of Covid, they're asking that customers use the provided gloves when gathering ingredients. They also ask that you eat for a maximum of 2 hours, but I didn't really see anybody sit there for too long. They have a last call thirty minutes before closing where they close everything done (even the soda machine), so definitely get your fill of whatever you want before they take it all away.tl;dr - Definitely left feeling super full but happy with the AYCE hot pot experience.
Great food, wonderful selection of meats, seafood and veggies make for a great dining experience. The service was stellar, and the food was great.
