They are still good but they discontinued boiled stemed dumplings. Also chive pockets used to better in past.I request management to continue steamed dumplings, its better than pan fried dumplings and many customers come here for boiled dumplings.
My boyfriend and I came for dinner on a Friday night. We ordered beef rolls, pork pan fried dumplings, and beef & beef tendon noodle soup (with hand-torn noodle). Everything was delicious. I love getting their beef rolls whenever I come here and they don't disappoint. The beef rolls are crunchy on the side with the right amount of beef, veggies & hoisin sauce. The dumplings were crunchy and I appreciate that they were also juicy inside. The beef noodle soup has a slight peppery kick. The hand torn noodles in the soup were amazing and the beef was tender. Like others have mentioned, it's cash only so I recommend that you bring cash. ?
My girlfriend and I are not new to Asian cuisine, so unfortunately I must leave a bad review on both food and service. We ordered ox tail noodle soup, beef wraps, and lamb dumplings. The soup lacked flavor and we where only given 3 bones with barely any meat on them. The beef wraps where excessively salty which masked the flavor, and the dumplings where undercooked.I don't expect a red carpet to be placed in front of us as we walk in, though I couldn't help but feel an unwelcoming atmosphere.Though the restaurant was not at full capacity, with plenty of tables available for 2 all across the restaurant, my girlfriend and I where sat in a corner booth, next to the bathrooms. The booth hid us from the rest of the restaurant, nobody could see us and we couldn't see anybody. When it came time to pay we offered a debit card to which the waitress replied "cash only" and walked away. We looked at our phones to find the nearest bank to withdraw the money and as I was walking out to head to the bank I noticed that the restaurant had it's own ATM machine. I couldn't understand why the waitress didn't bother to tell us that they had an ATM.We took the hint to never come back .
Good place to satisfy your dumpling and beef noodle cravings.
Beef noodle soup had decent meat but the soup base was terrible if it wasn't for the spice it was basically hot water, and it had seaweed in it. Who puts seaweed in beefnoodle soup?
I come here for the delicious chunky chewy handmade noodles. You can have it with a range of options, both with soup or dry style. The homemade hot sauces on the table are also great. Make sure you get to try!
Honestly, the food was really disappointing. The noodles were basically just spaghetti, and I've never eaten worse eggplant. If it weren't for the soy sauce and chili sauce on the side, it would have been unpalatable. It shocks me that this place manages to survive in Alhambra.
Beef noodle soup was mediocre. Dan Dan noodles were good but nothing amazing.
Foods are decent but the service is not up to par. Quite expensive for their foods. That's why I took a couple stars off
I thought their dandan noodles were perfectly done; hand pulled noodles with a nice heft of sauce. The numbing spice flavor and peanut butter wasn't overwhelming and it was savory and delicious. The beef roll is good, liked that the wrapping is thing and crepelike, and not too dough-y. It was a bit salty with more hoisin sauce though. Also liked that they didn't put too much onion in it. The Xiao long bao was decent, not the best I've had but still juicy. Cash only though, prices raised a lot after covid.
