The pizza is always great at The Star, as is the service. But there happened to be a large group that was extremely loud and my friend and I could barely hear each other across our small table. The restaurant is cavernous and with all hard surfaces, so the sound just reverberates off the walls. Next time, Iâll take my pizza home!

Despite the delicious pizza (both deep dish and thin crust), I wanted to say I was really impressed by their service. We just left their restaurant In Alameda. Our pizza got delayed due to some technical reason in computer system, but they checked in on us frequently to apologize, and offered us a $20 gift card at checkout. That was not expected but indeed really considerate and made it a very pleasant experience.All in all, food is amazing and servers are all super kind and friendly. Absolutely recommend.
