Super wine and food. Owned and operated by a local Alameda couple. The Bhudda Bowl is amazing. Flatbread pizzas, too! Live local music (Tinker’s Mash bluegrass) today, Sunday was so fun! Dogs welcomed at outdoor seating. And they just got their liquor license so they have great cocktails too! Alameda is so lucky they are here! Check them out.

One of the best spots in Alameda for casual gathering, cocktails and coffee. Brunch, lunch, happy hour… they got you covered. Great menu as well!

Unreal spot. Staff was super kind and the vibe was just right. Loved the olives, wines and beer we got to try. Will be back asap.

I've long overlooked a proper review for The Preacher's Daughter and after having not been in for a while until yesterday, it's high time to do so.The menu has been updated to reflect changes but they have kept some of the original offerings. So, I went to my old favorite, The HMC* sandwich. Never disappointing but now TPD has raised the number of side dishes from two to five.A good selection of wine, my pick or staff recommended I have never been disappointed, Espresso drinks and pastries are of the standard fare and that is no complaint. But here is what really keeps me coming back. I am not particularly demanding when it comes to service, in fact my preference is that it be low key and basic. But I am struck every time that I am in at how staff is genuinely interested and attentive to the wants of their customers and the customers themselves. And not to forget places' namesake, her pride in operating a woman's' and minority owned business is righteous.*(Note to self: Next time in, I must remember to ask what HMC stands for).

This place is everything that it promises. Great wine, excellent food, friendly staff, great cozy interior and a great location. If you haven’t been you’re missing out.

Three stars because the food we ordered was not worth the price – in quality or quantity. Went for dinner so their brunch/lunch offerings may be a better deal. You can find a better place for food in Alameda.

The Preachers is my favorite hideaway. I can spend an hour or an afternoon sipping coffee and reading or working. There is always pleasant music and a friendly atmosphere. The food is tasty and reasonable and the staff is friendly. Occasionally they have good music on Sundays. And If you like wine tasting thy have a great selection.

I am so grateful for this place. The service is outstanding and authentically good. Wines & beers selection is on point and the food is delicious. It’s the perfect place for an happy hour at sunset with golden light coming through their huge windows. Can’t wait to try Sunday brunch & music. Happy anniversary.

It’s that kind of place where it’s cool to go for a morning coffee but also the place I like to stop by for a quick lunch or sit down with my computer and work. I also like this place for a night glass of wine with friends. Very well decorated and friendly staff. I definitely recommend this place to the Alameda people

Love the Sunday yoga followed by brunch...great way to start off the day!
