Seems to be a hit with carnivores. Not very veg friendly, though. The tofu banh mi is dry (no sauce of any kind) and consists of way more carrots than tofu (which is fried, and not seasoned in any way). They also have a salad that's primarily shredded cabbage with some fried tofu and pickled carrots & daikon radish, and veggie spring rolls (the peanut sauce is yummy!). It is the only Vietnamese place within walking distance from me, so I cave and come here once in a blue moon. Would be great if they expanded their veggie options. I know it's possible! Lots of decent veg-friendly Vietnamese places out there. The lady who takes the orders is super sweet. I think I'm a return customer because of her.
Everything I have ordered I have always enjoyed ..the owners are very kind and makes you feel at home
I’ve had a few meals here and think it’s a decently priced place with tasty food. The shop owners are also really friendly.I recommend the banh mis as they are flavorful and good value! The last time I went my friend and I had the speciality soups which honestly were just okay. Nice and warming but the flavors weren’t as punchy as we thought they should be.I’ll be back for banh mis and to try the pho. Good place to grab a snack or get some warm soup on a cold or rainy day.
Delicious and fresh! Everyone is so nice here. Those two things will keep me coming back.
Very good food and the customer service was nice
Amazing prices and banh mi is absolutely perfect! The grilled pork makes my mouth water everytime. We always come here when in Alameda. Support your local family owned businesses!!! :)
Very clean. Hand sanitizers are placed at the entrance. Wait staff was friendly.
Never come if you are in a hurry or have tickets to anyting afterwards. The owners are gracious and very kind. A little patience goes a long way here and it's well worth the wait when you get your food!
Great traditional Vietnamese food for great prices. Glad to have this great Oakland staple here in Alameda.
Love the owners! Great tasting food!
