Great food and great prices. People are very polite and understanding when I came in to pick up my order 5 min before closing (I do apologize for that). This is my go to place for Chinese food in alameda area now.
It is hit or miss here. But once you get to know the menu you figure out what is good and what to skip.Service and delivery is always 5 stars.My favorite Chinese is sweet and sour anything, SKIP THIS HERE. They use mayonnaise. I'm not sure why but it's a terrible thick sticky goo and not the good kind lol.Meh, the egg rolls are greasy but the taste is good. So if you don't mind a LOT of grease go for it.Our favorites,Shrimp, chicken or bbq pork fried rice.BBQ PorkChow MeinCrispy ShrimpPot stickersBeef and broccoliWe pretty much stick to these items and then occasionally throw in something new just to try it.Enjoy!
Food is freshly prepared as ordered. Not typical Chinese food. A little skimpy on protein and very slow prep time.
The take out meal was ready in 15 minutes from the call. All. Very good food. The beef with vegetables Had a lot of sauce almost like a stew.
Sweet and sour pork is at best pork rinds in glop. They’re good for not making gloopy syrupy and oily foods, but skimp on content.
Food isn’t bad but they skimp on the meat big time. Don’t order the lunch special unless you want 80% rice and more onions in whats supposed to be the main dish. I ordered the mongolian beef and got 5 bites of beef and nothing but onions and so much fried rice you’d think I’d had ordered just the rice.
Would have been 5 stars, because the food tastes good, but there was very little (5 small slices) of beef in my Mongolian beef. Didn't really want just onions for lunch :(
Lately it's been hit or miss here. Used to be our go to place for Chinese food but lately it's been inconsistent. Seems like there's one good cook and one not so good. Delicious tho if you luck out and eat there when good cook is working
Got the mongolian beef lunch came with soup (and a lil piece of hair hanging half in and out the soup box) and fortune cookies..the only downside was there was about 7 pieces of beef pieces in a mound of onions. Was flavorful though
My coworkers and I ordered a large amount of food today from this place and it was absolutely delicious. It was so tasty. I ordered fried prawns, chicken fried rice and shrimp chow mein. I can’t stop eating. I highly recommend Little Joe. The owners are very nice. Delivery was seamless. We will be ordering again.
