I ordered the rice platter. It was my first time having this kind of food and it was so good… the staff was friendly and I felt welcome. The rice and chicken was perfect spice not to spicy. I’ll definitely be going back when I’m in Oakland again

FRESH….NOT FROZEN… come and eat!!! This is the best place in town for Nigerian food. The owner is super kind. The food is well prepared and will keep you full. The ambience is like walking into the world and aroma of Nigeria itself. Fill your mouth with joy and love, and come rest at Jolly Jolly.

We read the good reviews and decided to try the jollof rice with ox tails. We were a little disappointed that the ox tails were mostly bones with very little meat, BUT everything was very flavorful and good quality. It was delivered in a timely manner to our 18 wheeler, which was appreciated. We definitely recommend this place!

I love everything here but getting oxtails over that sublime jollof rice really makes my heart sing

My family and I have been coming to eat here for a little over a year now. Every time we come the food is consistent and taste better and better, we always order the Jollof rice with goat and plantains. I highly recommend this place for the fresh quality food and delicious flavorful authentic African food. Try it you won’t regret it .

When it comes to the taste of the food and the authenticity, this is probably the best Nigerian restaurant I’ve been to in the Bay Area. I’m not Nigerian (as you can tell by name), but the food here reminds me of the cooking of my partner’s parents who are Nigerian. The service is slow but this is a one man run shop. Give it a try!

Super delicious!! Food was extremely fresh, we ordered the bole combo which is fish cooked to perfection with jollof rice and plantains and kale shrimp oooh la la!!!!! I’m salivating all over again. We also had the kale shrimp jollof plate which was very similar but equally as yummy. Very understated place hole in the wall looking but we shall be back!!!! Thank you!

Omg!!! Most delicious food!!! I went 3 weeks ago. I had the goat pepper soup, egusi soup, jollof and the fish. First of all the egusi soup was a savory heavenly melody of deliciousness. The jollof rice was amazing. Perfectly seasoned. I have had a lot of jollof rice and this one is my favorite in the bay area. The owner is very warm and welcoming too!!!!!

Amazing authentic Nigerian food. Jollof rice is so good and spicy.

Easy to miss, but I cannot recommend a Nigerian eatery in the Bay Area more highly. We catered a few dishes for a Christmas celebration this holiday season and not only was the food rich in flavor, but was also made on time and communication was seamless.Would highly recommend!
