What a gem! The delicious slaps you in the face before you open the door with all of the scents that a legit diner breakfast should have. The service is great, the food is fast to arrive, and the menu is bountiful. The roomy booths and counter spots greet you at the front next to the open diner-style kitchen. There's more seating in the back as well.We tried the house-made corned beef hash and the chicken and waffle. Both of our plates were above and beyond in flavor, with plenty of food to boot. The chicken was juicy and crispy, worthy of cleaning the pieces down to the bone. The hash was crisped up nicely. They buttered the toast well, made our crispy hash browns as requested, and did I mention the food came out fast?Coffee is delicious and strong.I'm excited to come back and try more things. We visited early, before 9am and there was no wit but as we were leaving things might have been getting busier, so I imagine there's a wait sometimes. Worth it.
Great food and prices weren't bad considering everything is skyrocketing in price because of poor election outcomes and poor choices by politicians... out the door for my meal with a coffee was a little less than $18.48 without tip.The staff and service here was great and conveniently located. Also the men's bathroom had a diaper changing station which I thought was nice, not everywhere has that and it was really clean ??
I grew up in Alameda and now live in Cattle Ranching country in Northern Nevada. This morning we were back in Alameda for a visit and ate Breakfast at Jim's. I was very delighted to be served a true thick juicy New York Steak cooked a perfect medium-rare. Nowadays the places we normally eat out in Northern Nevada cut the steaks so thin they look more like a slice of lunch meat. Thank God places like Jim's, still serve an honest meal.
Jim's coffee shop is one of those hidden gems. Looks from the front is deceiving as it looks small. But once inside it is pleasantly large. A wall full of booths, counter seating and tables. Super friendly and welcoming staff that serve quick and delicious food. Breakfast & lunch are served. Some TVs and a menu with a ton of tasty food. We had lunch and it was great! I will return to Jim's and I highly recommend a stop in. Plenty of parking as well.
Love this breakfast joint in Alameda:) Crab cake benedict is the best here:)
Jim's is a great choice for breakfast in the Alameda area. They are very kind ppl and very fast, the food was good, they servers are trying to make the best experience for you! Thank you for the great breakfast! I will be back #HazyJavi
Love this coffee shop, been eating here for 2 years but keep having small issues and then today I get eggs Benedict and it comes like this? No hash browns no toast ? Hope this isn't the direction it's going, used to be one of my favorite breakfast places on the island.Edit: eating it, the eggs aren't even actually poached. Disappointing
Ok experience, server only took order and brought it to me. Never checked to see if I needed anything else. But Angelo stepped in and gave great customer service and conversation thank you. I love Taz lol
Friendly staff, clean environment, HUGE inside! the exterior is very misleading. nice parking lot on the side so you don't need to pay. fresh food - we had steak and eggs with fresh fruit and ordered food to go for the dog. the quantity of food for the dog was great! two full meals of rice and freshly grilled chicken breast with seasoning.
Excellent services. Great staff. The best breakfast in town.
