I don’t know how this place has 4 and 5 star reviews. The food sucks. If you are thinking about going here for dinner or lunch do yourself a favor and stay home and starve. Your stomach and tastebuds will thank you.
Maybe we just went on a bad day, but we allgot the fettuccine Alfredo and it tasted more like chicken and dumplings than Italian food to all of us. The onions rings were great though. And this is the only restaurant I’ve been to that charges you a fee to use a card.
We wanted something different in this area filled with fast food as chain places. On a Saturday around 12 there were 5-6 cars in lot so we thought we'd try. We were seated quickly ( all tables no booths) and given menus. Waitress took drink orders and we explained we were 1st time visitors and she recommended the fried chicken and spaghetti. Did not sound good so I asked if the lasagna ( large) was enough to take home half of and she said yes. Hubby loves Chicken parm so he ordered that. came with salad. Salad was delivered with packets of commercial Blue Cheese dressings. Small bowl made it difficult to eat without spilling, Regular iceberg lettuce with a few chopped tomatoes and some yellow cheese. Basket of small toasts was provided with some packages of crackers on bottom of basket. Stale. Also not very hygienic if you wanted crackers you have to move the toasts aside and I'm certain they don't throw away a while basket of toasts? Some time later ( salads had been finished a while) she brought 2 oval plates on round plates. Hubby's chicken parm was in the oval dish under a mound of red sauce, with a large amount of spaghetti on the side, not a lot of sauce. Chicken very thin and hard to eat from oval dish. I tasted the sauce and it had no flavor - no garlic, basil.. oregano, salt, nada. So my lasagna was not like I have ever had before -I have always had a square or rectangle on a plate. Where you can see the various layer and cheese and meat. Not in a shallow oval dish! I tried cutting it with a fork and it came away with cheese strands and slippery noodles, I did not find any meat! And it was an odd orange color, not red like hobby's, but exactly like his in taste - as in none. No garlic, basil, oregano, salt, So disappointed! And the cost! This is LUNCH! $12, lasagna, $17.50 Chicken parm, 2 sodas $6. and a service fee of $3 to charge on credit card! Checkout cashier asked how our meal was and I told her "really not very good" and she just ignored my comment! Real service there!
Quick and courteous service. The meatballs were excellent! Side salad was simple but just like mom made it. It comes one way, mama's way. The lasagna was very good but for me it was missing ricotta.
So embarrassed to say that it was my first time at Mama Z's. I have driven past it so many times that it just sounded like today was a good for lunch. Place was really busy, but the staff was great, and the brown beans with onions on the side, was perfect. My office manager had the spaghetti with chicken, and there was no way she could eat all of it. Great place, and a very reasonable price.
Best noodles I've ever had. Hands down. The fact that they make them on-site is both awesome and sad because the world needs to try them. I've introduced many people to them and finding out they sell them online was a game-changer.
Pretty sure marinara sauce was rancid when served on 12/21 smelled and tasted rancid and both the chicken parm and chicken alfredo was microwaved and served cold to our table. What a disappointment. I was actually very excited to try this place out as well. How can they remain open serving the quality of food here is beyond me. They need to step there game up astronomically. Wasn’t even busy. Could have thrown pasta in pan with sauce. I knew there was a problem when my food came out so quickly. Not authentic!!! My crispy chicken in my Alfredo seemed heated up multiple times and they bill was pretty high considering the quality of microwaved food here
It’s hard to consider yourself a native of NWA if you haven’t been here… The fried chicken and spaghetti is a requirement, after that feel free to try the rest, it’s all great!
It was our first time there and they most definitely did not disappoint! The spaghetti and meat balls were more so delicious! And the peach cobbler with icecream was so delicious!! They have so much on the menu! And lunch specials that sounds so good! The service was perfect! The restaurant was very clean including the restrooms!! We will be going back!!!!!!
Food was okay. Service was great. I don't appreciate being charged an upcharge for using a debit card, and I REALLY don't appreciate it just being added to the payment with no heads up.
