"Meh" is the word I would use to describe the food here. Everything is just okay. The steaks were fine, but not great. Same as the veggies and sides... At least the service was great.If I'm going to spend $250 on a meal, I'll go to Ruth's Chris next time.
Edited to add: We're local. have been for going on 5 years. I didn't address anyone in person as we were out of time from the how long the service took. We didn't even wait for a check just handed of a card to pay and leave. I have a lot better cuts of meat from a lot of other restaurants Locally. We eat out 4/5 times a week and generally both order a steak each time.I understand your trying to back your business. As would any business owner/ manager. I don't think you have a bad business. I think you have poor service and overly fatty steaks. A steak should not be over 50% fat, coming from anywhere. Again, I am sharing our experience. I am not battling you.We tried Theos on 4/27/22. We arrived at 6:26. There wasn’t a line and it didn’t seem to be very busy, continuous& steady yes, but certainly not slammed. The Food looked great but wasn’t the best. I had crab ravioli, it was dry and a little crunchy. The flavor was good. My husband had a ribeye med-rare. And we shared a lobster Mac. The steak was more fat than meat, over 50-60% fat. service was VERY slow! Took forever to get anything. I’d say approx. 15minutes between each time we seen our waitress- ordered a glass of wine each and that alone took approximately 20-25 minutes to get it. Workers were nice/ friendly. Environment was nice. Other than feeling like we’re sitting front and center (we weren’t) felt as if there was a spot light shining on us- (we were sitting by a window in the back of the dining room. Definitely is not worth the hype.
This is a really good place to go, if they can accommodate you. 12 teachers trying to relax after testing were turned away, rudely, without any, I’m sorry, nothing. We arrived at 3:40 because we had a large party, told the hostess we were 12 in need of a table/ area. She nodded like she understood and told us that they don’t open until 4:00. We were aware of that and waited patiently outside. After watching several other people walk in, we went in at 3:55. This is when the hostess told us that the large patio area was already taken, and the other large area was reserved. I swear I heard crickets chirping as she just stared blankly at us. I finally asked if she would like me to walk around to look for a place to sit, technically they weren’t even open yet, and they were full?! She said she needed the manager. He was not polite at all, no apology, just pretty much told us to scram. We went to Grubs instead and had a great time, but really? Theo’s thinks they are too high class for a group of teachers, boo, hiss for them!
Appetizers and drinks were absolutely delicious, along with the service. Our server was very very nice and helped us figure out what to order immediately, she was polite and also very directional and relatable, Great job on that! The reason why I give it 4 stars is because we had a large party, and some of the food was good (like the one you can see on the image) but, some food that other people order was ok , the gnocchi were EXTREMELY rubbery, I do not think this is how a gnocchi should feel on your mouth, and other dishes were ok for the amount paid. I feel this place has potential but I do not see consistency. But hey! I will be back for the amazing service we got and to try different menu items which I know they will be delicious!
The food and service was excellent. The seared duck breast is amazing and the salted caramel creme brulee may be the best dessert I've ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be coming back.
Excellent food. Not a very big menu. Service was not quite as good as expected. Tables are spaced out further apart than normal, making it a quieter place to eat even though the restaurant was full, which is important to me.
The smoked salmon bruschetta was absolutely delicious, the best item on the menu! The cream of leek soup was also outstanding.
My husband and I are here for our 12 year anniversary. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, excellent Moscow mule, amazingly huge pork chop and the sides were delicious!! Only complaint was what I got, which was the Gnocchi. It was huge, dry and bland. I was hoping it would be better than what it was!! I really wanted it to be! So I settled on eating the Brussel sprouts and some of the lobster gouda Mac and cheese as my dinner instead. Took my dinner home and let my friend try it who also loves Gnocchi and she too was disappointed it wasn't better than what we thought it would have been. Def worth a try though for those who are looking for a night out without kids.
