Have lived in NW Arkansas for 20 years and just ran across this place. By far the best food I have ever had since living in NW Arkansas. Only other food I’ve ever had that good was my in-laws restaurant in Louisiana. UNBELIEVABLE!!! YUM!!
Seriously amazing experience! I took my parents there for brunch today for my Dad’s 80th birthday and their 61st wedding anniversary. I had the prime rib omelette, Daddy had the liver & onions and Mom had the stuffed mushrooms and all were absolutely delicious! The staff were so incredibly kind, helpful and gave great recommendations. They even brought out a to die for dessert to celebrate their special day. It’s so nice to have a fine dining establishment in Prairie Creek now! I will be back without a doubt! Kudos guys! Our experience was perfection!
Made reservations for 12 on Friday May 20, 2022.Upon arrival the table setting was in place, the wait staff greeted us & were very helpful & professional. With 12 of us we ordered an array of items, from steaks, pasta & fish. All of us were very pleased with both the presentation & quality of everything served. I’m sure they all enjoyed the evening very much. I know I did having my family of 4 generations & a wonderful dinner.Thank You Fat Chef !!!
Best food I’ve had in Northwest Arkansas. The walleye was amazing. Service was impeccable.
Amazing food and everyone was so friendly. Definitely will be coming back
We went here for my husbands birthday and I was absolutely blown away!! The food was incredible and the service was superb. I highly recommend the Surf n Turf and the toffee crepe Cake for dessert!! It is a little pricey, but totally worth it because the portions are very good! Most expensive restaurants have tiny little portions but here you get what you pay for!!! Can’t wait to go back!
My husband and I have been to the Fat Chef twice. Neither time have been worth our money or time. The prices are high and the food is okay. Not bad but way overpriced. The first time we visited there were no other customers but us. The waiter would not leave us alone. It seemed if we moved an inch he would ask if we liked the food or needed something. Ordinarily we like the attention but this was crazy. Almost as if we had another guest with us! We couldn’t wait to pay the Fat Check and leave. We visited again about a month ago and on the advertised prime rib night they were out of prime rib and then our new order came with out the bread. When we asked. Our waitress said they were out of that too. Ugh. This place is soooooo overrated. We won’t try it again. Oh, I forgot to mention- you are paying high prices and the decor inside is reminiscent of a paneled tv room from the 70’s.
Most amazing food and service. Went on a Tuesday evening and had no trouble getting in. I had the fresh made lemonade to drink and we started out with the stuffed mushrooms and were very pleased, what a great start. The house salad, Ceasar salad and homemade bread were very good. Turns out it was Prime Rib night. My wife had a standard queen cut, 12 oz medium and it was perfect. I asked if they had an end cut as I really enjoy the crust's flavor and they did. It was fantastic, closer to well done since it was the end cut, but great flavor and still tender. The sweet potato and mushrooms were great, as was the root vegetable compote and the battered fries. We didn't do dessert, but will have to come back one evening to do so just for a treat.
The food is perfectly seasoned and the steaks are melt in your mouth amazing! So many good options I have to go back. Tried the appetizer special and they were some of the best ribs I have had in my life, the house made bbq sauce was exceptional. Want to go back for the prime rib on Tuesday evening. Heard they are the best. The service was specular.
Yall- If you haven't been to The Fat Chef YOU NEED TO GO NOW!!! The owners are active in the business and you can truly see how much they care. Staff was attentive and constantly moving. The place was packed on a busy Friday night yet they still kept up the flow beautifully!I literally have NEVER been somewhere where EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection. I am talking even beer battered steak fries were holy hell amazing. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest, an hour from the coast and yet have not had scallops so perfectly cooked. I swear they were JUST pulled from the water!! How??Seafood-just to die for.Steak- omg how was it so good?!Dessert- kill me now that was the best thing I have ever known.Yeah so take all my $$ now guys. We may pop in for brunch. I just died the food coma death of heaven! We had the stuffed mushrooms appetizer - packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Both had the ceaser and I have NEVER had a proper dressing like that except where I have made it myself! Not out here in Arkansas yet!!My husband ordered their Bone in Prime Rib Special and it was so tender, so juicy, it melted. We added shrimp and scallops add on and both were perfection. The shrimps were massive! I got the Crab Rangoon dip as my main meal and was floored. You can tell instantly there is a heavy helping if REAL crab meat and it shows! The wild mushroom special side was just fabulous.....no skimping on butter and it made ALL THE DIFFERENCE. The Corn Souffle is everything it's hyped to be! Dessert we tried the Lava Cake ( as expected at this point, also perfectly done! The chocolate shavings were the perfect addition) and the Toffee Caramel crepe which was the most decedent thing I have tried. Our server Carly was just the best as well! She made the experience so wonderful!Yes their prices may be higher than we usually see here, but 100% worth it, the quality and care match. In fact prices maybe could be raised, it's THAT good. You absolutely get ABOVE what you pay for here. Thanks The Fat Chef Team for making my Husband's Birthday one of the best in a long time!!
