Food was good as usual, thus the two stars. We had an odd situation though that could have been handled much better and which also raises concern for a restaurant. We were seated in the bar area (thank you to the hostess). Upon sitting down my wife noticed an ant on her menu. Then I saw one in mine. We told our server about the ants she said "oh, this table too" apparently referring to the booth beside ours that we were told was closed. We asked our server if we could move but were told that we would have to move into the main dining area even though there were tables that we could move too if they were just cleaned. Our server left our table and we then saw more ants. Then the bartender came over and we told her about the ants and she said there were no other options in the bar area. Then she begrudgingly said something to the effect of "well I guess I could clean that table" referring to a table near us. We asked her if she would, which she did, and we moved. We have always enjoyed Red Robin but this experience has left a bad taste in our mouth...and it wasn't from the food.
We order several appetizers and meals. Curbside pickup was quick and easy. Order was accurate and great. Cod fish, chicken fingers, steak fries, chocolate shakes and doughnuts. Just to name a few. Staff member was very polite. We visited with individuals at a nearby hotel conference for business trip Kimber Decor Events. Great dinner
Finally able to dine in this famous Red Robin! The burger is soooooo good! And with the staff being so friendly. Like Every Uber driver suggested this place and yes they're right, the burger is so so so good. Try their famous signature dip too! Will definitely go back here.
I had my family of 6 there, the staff was nice and the food was very good. My youngest son got the fish and chips for the first time and loved it. The image is the burger i always get the Smoke and Pepper.
We were in a party of 12. And the food came out in bundles, which is fine, if it was hot. But it wasn’t. I don’t mind food coming out as it’s finished cooking, so as long as it’s hot. You can’t cook 12 meals at one time, I get that. So if you’re going to send things out 1-3 meals out at a time, they should be hot. They weren’t. My friends and family didn’t say anything about theirs, cause they were hungry and they had little kids that needed to get home and get to sleep. So they couldn’t wait any longer on food to be remade. But I wanted a hot meal. I ordered the Royal Robin burger, and my egg was room temperature. I literally picked the egg up, with my fingers, it didn’t budge. It was so over cooked and cold. Was NOT happy. They did end up comping it and making me a new one. But for real. I chose there to celebrate my birthday, and I get a cold burger and fries. ?♀️
Loved the burger. Went with the burning one and fries are awesome.
I used to recommend this place but on my last visit, the host tells us 5-10 minutes and we wait over half an hour. get to our seats and the waitress dumps a full cup of water on me. not malicious acts, but all the manager does is comment that he heard i got water on me and leaves us some garlic fries, which were just part of the bottomless garlic fries that were part of the meal anyway. it all leads to a feeling noone cares i sat there cold and wet for nearly an hour, so its hard to recommend this place anymore. +1 star for the food tasting fine.
Service was great this time. Our waiter was fast and efficient bringing us refills most of the time before we asked. The scorpion burger that I had was not very hot like I was expecting. It does have some heat so for those that can't tolerate any heat don't eat it but if u can handle hot sauce heat that's about as far as it goes. I love spicy food so I was hoping for more burn your tounge off especially if you are using the scorpion pepper name. I have eaten a scorpion pepper and that burn won't leave you for at least 30 mins. The burger itself still needs more seasoning not enough salt or pepper. If I had not ordered a burger with stuff on it the whole burger would have been so bland.
I recommend this establishment when a specific hostess isn't working. I never got her name, but she was there tonight around 9pm. When we walked in, she was speaking to a gentleman so we stood to the side. the gentleman kept glancing our way and I could tell by their conversation that they were just chit chatting and he wasn't a customer. it took her about 2 minutes of us standing there for her to pause her conversation and ask if we had been helped yet. Like seriously?! It is literally her job to help those who walk in the door. That's how enthralled in her conversation she was with this gentleman. I proceeded to tell her that I had placed an online order. She went to the back and returned to tell us that another employee would be right with us. We proceeded to wait almost 15 minutes while she continued her conversation with the gentleman. Multiple customers walked out of the building with barely a goodbye or have a good night greeting from her. One gentleman walked right in and past her while she continued her side conversation. She didn't even look his way. I really felt like I was watching a dating website meet up based off their conversation. It wasn't until she saw me check my watch because it was after my estimated pick up time before she finally went back to check on things. Another employee came up to take our order even though I clearly told her I had placed an online order. We waited even longer before our order was ready. When I told the employee who brought us our order to let the manager know what I witnessed, I got the vibe that my message wouldn't be conveyed, so that is the purpose for this review. Last night, 3/16, our service for our online order was impeccable. Everyone was attentive and nice. Tonight, not only were the employees worse, but the service was as well. I requested extra ranch twice..didn't receive it. I had a to go drink and no straw. I didn't receive some of the items I requested in my salad. needless to say, when this hostess who had braided pigtails and the gentleman who worked the to go orders are scheduled, I wouldn't be bothered with going or ordering.
Ate at Red Robin for the first time and it will not be the last!! The staff was very friendly and helpful!! We ordered via the internet and it was a good experience!! The food was ready when they said it would be!! The burgers were very good!! Steak fries were better than most fries from similar type restaurants!! Great variety of burgers and other choices!! Overall a good experience but can’t go 5 stars until I experience eating in the restaurant!!
