My family and I visited the weekend of the 4th of July. Our food came out fresh and quick and was so good! The manager, Emily, was so sweet. Make sure to try the fried peach pie!
The food took forever to come. There were only 3 tables occupied in whole restaurant. We had to ask for our food and we were told it just came out but it was cooling off for a while. Not impressed also of quality of food vs cost.
The service was awesome, especially Ethan and Kellen. Both gentlemen were attentive, friendly and personable. Created rapport with us immediately as well as other customers. Ordered Smack Yo Momma Boulin' Trio medium spice. Perfect amount of heat. Great place!
Great place to eat! Everyone is friendly. Ethan checked on us several times and Kellen did an awesome job cooking our good. I had the boiled shrimp dinner. It was amazing! Seasoning was great. They have good hush puppies too. We will be back!
The food is very good. Sitting outside makes for a nice experience. And, Ethan was super friendly and helpful.
**Edit update** the owner responded and posted asking for me to reach out to them via email and I have done so twice over a week ago with NO response. Why ask a customer to reach out to you and then not respond?Review...Quite possibly the worst food I have gotten in some time.First, the order took almost twice as long as promised for a to go order. 15 to 20 minutes became 35 minutes. Now the food...- The French fries were salted to the point that they were inedible.- The catfish was also heavily salted, and the meat was all mushy. No consistency to the meat at all. It also did not taste like a quality fish.- The tarter sauce is not a traditional tarter sauce. It tastes like mayo with Cajun seasoning and extra salt.- The fried shrimp batter was soggy and again overly salty.- The only thing edible was the hush puppies.Anyone who enjoys good catfish, should not expect to find that here.
Original review from 1st time-Let me just say, there were 2 issues but it ended up working itself out. Issue number one, there was a special posted up at the register for 15$ crawfish bucket, so I pointed at it and said that’s what I wanted. The person up front then began to ask me what sides I wanted with the special, confused she told me it came with two sides so we ordered the beans and garlic fries ( extra 1$) okay…. Then she asked how many corn and potatoes we wanted ( corns extra $1 and potatoes .50) still okay, then we grabbed drink cups and went to pay. My husband stopped and questioned the amount and i just kind shrugged it off as I was hungry, though it still didn’t add up. We sat down at our table and looked at the recite, noticed that there had been a $7 shrimp special added to the order, which we never even mentioned. We brought it up to the cash register and asked girl what it was we paid for, and she was going to call the manager to come fix it, but we just waved it off and told her not to worry about it and just waited for our mystery meal to arrive.Next we got our food, and I had ordered the crawfish mild, the spice was so much my lips were burning. ( but I’m a wimp) and they were nice enough to bring me a lb out for myself which I ate up.Over all the food was GREAT, even the meal we were not planning on getting but it turned out fine because we ended up eating most of it and it was nice to try a variety of food. The staff was friendly, and I left very happy to get a meal that I wanted ( crawfish). By the way the potatoes were so yummy I’ll get more next time.My husband and I WILL be back, as it was our first time there.Okay. Have reviewed a couple times now and they were able to gain me back! I have been a returning customer now.
First time there. Good food. Came out hot and fresh.Had catfish, chicken tenders, and fried shrimp. All were cooked right and tasted great.Hush puppies seemed a little overdone. Not near as good as the other popular catfish place in Fayetteville.Had fried green tomatoes. Not something you can order very many places. It was good, but a little sweet for my liking. Still cool that I could order them there. It's an order at the counter, then get a table and they'll bring your food kind of place. Get your own drinks as well. Not a bad thing, but good to know when planning a visit.I'll definitely be going back.
Staff was friendly, location is clean and inviting. Open air space for the most part. When it gets busy you may be screaming across the table. The fried chicken tenders were great, the breading was delicious. Shrimp was good, the tartar sauce is pretty good too! Hush puppies are difficult, they aren’t awful, but my grandma makes them the best :) for a restaurant the hushpuppies are okay. I would recommend a more upbeat playlist, when we were there you kinda wanted to kill yourself the music was so slow and depressing. Other than that…GREAT
If Slim Chickens and Flying Fish had a baby, it would be Eat My Catfish (yes those are all real places ?) They have great food that is fried well (not too greasy, not too much breading). We'll definitely be back again. We got the combo plate and it was enough to share for 2 people.
