Over priced, but good food. I didn't care for the sugar in the spaghetti, that threw my whole mouth off. I don't know anyone in the south that does that, my grandma don't allow you put sugar on your greens or beans even after they are on your plate
This place is trash!! First off they forgot half of our order but we paid for everything. The chicken is not rotisserie it's boiled and nasty the mashed potatoes was straight cold absolutely garbage do not go here period.
Very good food and the largest entree list anywhere. Food well prepared , tasty.... scrumptious even. Best soul food
This was my first visit to this restaurant and was surprised at the varied foods on the menu. They are carryout only, but we were able to dine in. Everything is prepared and in a buffet style display. A server takes your order and puts it in a Styrofoam container. There was only one server to prepare your order and he was very slow. We were in well past the lunch hour so this might account for the lone server. The food was hot and well seasoned with copious portions. This is a restaurant I will probably visit again.
Had been there a while ago but this time I was pleasantly surprised. The food was scrumptiously delicious and so many choices of entrees and sides‼️ The yellow squash was the best restaurant style I've had, even better than some home cooked. They've got it going on there and the portions are good too. Better know what you want when you get there coz there's too many choices and they all look enticing ?‼️
I called in a order drove 30 minutes to pick it up and waited another 15 minutes in the pickup lane just to be told they sold out of what I asked for. This restaurant will never get my business again just disappointment after disappointment.
Trying so hard to support this place, but they are just too inconsistent with the hours. Definitely call before driving there!
Very stingy with their portion servings for the high prices that they charge. Was my first time ⏲️ there, will definitely be my last
I stopped in for my first time today to eat lunch in. The cafeteria-style line was not too long. I chose the veggie plate, which got me any 3 veggies and my choice of bread. I chose greens, sweet potatoes, and purple-hull peas with corn bread. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was all 'low and slow' style, stewed a long time and very tender. The sweet potatoes were sort of mashed and quite sweet. The peas and greens were salted but not too salty, which is great because it's usually hard for me to enjoy meals out since I don't cook with salt at home. The corn bread was the kind with sugar, and I prefer mine without, but it didn't have so much as to ruin it or make it taste like cake. All in all this was a very filling, tasty meal served in a pleasant environment. I will be back!
The smell outside this place and through my mask smelled like my aunt's house on Sunday afternoon. We didn't know what to expect as out-of-towners from Texas. I ordered the meatloaf, mac-n-cheese, field peas, cornbread and corn on the side. Absolutely delicious! The hubs ordered, neckbones, mac-n-cheese, greens and cornbread. I never heard him speak while he was eating. He was in soul-food heaven. Homecookin when you're hundreds of miles from your home doesn't get any better than this. We will visit again!
