I decided to try this place based on a couple of recommendations from friends. I had the double cheeseburger with onion rings. The burgers normally come with chips but I skipped those. The onion rings were decent, fried up in a tempura-type batter. Could have used a bit of seasoning but they were ok. The burger was decent as well. Unfortunately this restaurant, along with many others, commits the cardinal sin of not seasoning the beef patties. There was one little burger joint on Barrow that had the best seasoned patties I've ever had, but they closed down during covid. Just a little salt and pepper goes a long way.The service was outstanding. Frequent checks to see how you're doing and a to-go cup for the drink. Now this place is a bit pricey, even with inflation. 20 bucks for a double cheeseburger, onion rings and drink, not including tip. I may go back at some point and try other menu items, but probably only if I'm in the area.
We planned to pass through Little Rock on the way to OK and decided to try Gadwall's Grill. I called in a To-Go order about 20 min out and it was hot and ready when we got there. The staff was so friendly and the food was AMAZING!
My daughter and I had a lunch date at Gadwall’s outside on the patio. The young black guy who sat us and brought us our drinks was so nice. We ordered the turkey club, BLT and cheese fries (not pictured). The BLT had a good amount of bacon. Both of our sandwiches were great. My only complaint was that the cheese on the cheese fries was shredded cheese which eventually hardened the longer it sat. Other than that the food and service was good.
Service with a smile! Great food too.
The food is delicious, however the Caucasian customers dining in will make you feel unwanted there’s always stares when I walk in. Very uncomfortable so I suggest calling your food in and waiting outside to pick it up. Employees don’t have any manners, I told the guy thank you and he just hung up the phone in my face.
Great service, all the servers helped one another so everything was very prompt. Had the club sandwich and onion rings. Sandwich was great onion rings were a little bland but still good with some salt and ketchup. Batter was similar to tempura
Hole in the wall place. Looks like the booths are made out of pews. I had a hamburger with jalapeño jack cheese, delicious and sweet potato fries with dip.
This is my new favorite spot. I could not recommend this place more. Never had a food item I didn’t like and great beer selection!
What a great little place to eat. Staff is amazing and so friendly. Food was outstanding. 1st time there and we will definitely be visiting again.
Super quick and TASTY!! Love this place started out in the 80s. I don't think much has changed since! Been twice now and great each time.
