8.1/10 Good quality sushi, lots of roll options, and a much better price than some of the other sushi spots in LR! I would go here anytime I just want to go get some food sushi, no dress up, no special occasion, just craving good sushi! Photos on IG @FatZachsFatSnacks

I decided to give it a 2nd try and now I can confirm for you not to give it a 1st try. Service was awwwful, food was lukewarm at best and drinks were very light after waiting over 20 minutes to get them. If ur in the mood for Japenese food there are several much much better options just down the street. Hate I ever went here to be honest.

For starters the food was great, steak was cooked right, rice was tasty, veggies were cooked yet were not mushy. The issue my party had when visiting Samu was how slow it took to get the food to us and the rush we were met with to leave. Our total time for our visit was less than two hours with most of it waiting on food, refills, ect. I am very aware that turn around time for tables is very important for servers as I have waited tables before. With this in mind I tipped above 15% as my party had people in it that hadn't seen each other since 2019 and we were going to hold up a table a bit. Before we came to Samu we called ahead to make a reservation, we were told it was first come, first served basis which is fine. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation but this was sorted out rather quickly. Our server was adequate at best, she did not keep drinks refilled, one member of our party received their salad after their entree was brought to the table. Sushi was brought out right before entrees, and I understand having a rush and that isn't really an issue. What is an issue is feeling like as soon as we got our entrees that we were being rushed to eat them and get out. One member of my party only got a second refill of tea after having to request it with an empty glass on the table and a plate nearly filled with food in front of her. The thing that really got under my skin however is when the server came over and took our glasses because they were running out. Yes there was a flow of business but there were at least two to three empty tables with one needing to be cleaned offed, yet our glasses needed to be taken? Followed by us being asked to leave because of the amount of business going on, yet there were empty tables. The food might be good, but I'm not sure I will be dining in again.

Hibachi meats were over cooked. Sushi were greasy and not fresh. Udon noodle was good though. Kinda overpriced for this kind of quality.

First time ordering from here. The delivery took a little long, and my soft shell crab was cold, but my air fryer can fix that. Other than that, the food is AMAZING!! The spicy crab salad is spicy, so foodie beware. The onion soup is pretty good. The Ichiro roll was superb! My husband got the chicken hibachi, and the portion was pretty nice, it also came with a salad and soup. Not disappointed at all. So glad I chose this restaurant tonight!!

One word...AMAZING! The atmosphere, food, drinks, staff, EVERYTHING is great!

Food was delicious but the service was absolutely terrible. It took way too long to be acknowledged at the table and to get our menus, when she came to get our order she had no idea we never got menus. She seemed flustered and at the time there were a few more tables to take care of so we brushed it off. But later on it took her over 20 minutes to pick up our check. I wouldn’t mind normally but it was pretty slow by then and it seemed like her time management skills were lacking. Another waitress even saw us sitting there and never tried to step in and help. This was our first time here and it left a bad impression on this place.TLDR; get takeout only if you’re short on time.

Delicious sushi, the best ever in little rock! I especially love the dragon roll with the salad and ginger dressing. Today I had the millennium and the salmon lover, both were fantastic! I'll make sure to come back again and again!

Hands down the best sushi place in West LR. Good number of options with good quality and reasonable prices.Recommend the deep fried options.
