I was excited to eat here because I had eaten at the one in Orlando a few years ago. The one in Little Rock is awful. The staff was not polite or welcoming. My husband and I were surprised that 2 meals, one appetizer and two drinks were $40. All the drinks in the soda fountain were flat with zero carbonation. We asked for our refund on the drinks. They gave us the refund but never apologized or said that they would fix it.My husband’s meal came but my meal did not come for another 10 minutes and we had to go tell them in order to get it. The food itself was ok. Due to the price, poor service and not so fabulous food, we won’t go back. I’m sad that it wasn’t as good as the one in Orlando.
Well, this Pei Wei isn't what it used to be. They used to be absolutely delicious every time. They have new signage up saying there are new recipes and such, well I think this is just them taking short cuts and cutting costs.There is no way they're using the same provider for their chicken. This new chicken is thin, chewy, burnt, and tastes like frozen chinese food. The fried rice tastes way different than it used to. The rice tastes like they use a whole heaping amount of liquid smoke, but why?The service is way worse than it used to be as well. You walk in and are greeted by cold stares from the employees, and no one is at the front register to help you. My call in order was sitting with the online paid orders and if I didn't beg a worker to come check me out, then my food would have been free. I will definitely walk away without paying next time, because it is not my job to track down an employee to pay you.
This place is going downhill. It is not good anymore. Several times now my orders have been messed up. They have been late. Today I ordered Gluten Free fried rice and it looked like a completely different dish or a new recipe. It didn't look fried at all and it was very saucy. It didn't have a GF sticker on it like they used to do. Its like the management or the workers have changed and this crew is very subpar. This may be the end of our visits there.
We ordered online from the road 30 minutes ahead and still waited almost 30 minutes for our food. I didn’t mind the wait so much because I understand that things get overwhelming with mobile and dine in orders- however the food was awful. Our chicken fried rice tasted like the rice was undercooked and it had several sauces mixed in with the rice that didn’t belong. Sweet, spicy, other ingredients that shouldn’t have been there. Honestly, it looked like they had mixed a couple of different dishes together.I don’t recommend eating here at all. We were very disappointed because Pei Wei is usually so fresh and tasty. But the wait along with the weird tasting food was not a good look for this store.
I called and waited on the phone for 30 minutes for someone to answer so I can do an over the phone order since website makes you pay before posting an order. They NEVER answered.
I ordered online for a later pickup time, received confirmation, went to pick up my food and to my surprise they have no order and nothing pending. Pei Wei charged my cc 0.10. Upon investigation they send an email after confirming my order stating the order didn’t go through. I worried I was going to be double charged if I reordered since they precharged my account apparently? I ordered anyways because I was on my way to work. There was no one else but me there. The cook wasn’t working on any orders. And they had mentioned several times there were no pending orders. I wait and wait and wait for my food. One by one no less than 8 people come and go with their orders, one placed an in person order AFTER I reordered my food. I waited over 30 mins for them to get my food ready. And to top it off, they burned some of my food. I will never be going back till they get some staff who actually put forth effort and try to do the right thing. Like, “oh your order didn’t go through and that’s our fault, we’ll get that started right now” seeing how I ordered it around 5pm to pick up at 530. And here it’s 530 no food and now you made me wait till 6 to walk out of the store. Poor customer service and poor food quality.
3 stars because the food is Great just wish there was another location like the one that use to be located on Chenal more upscale. Staff unprofessional as I came in they were just standing around, I wanna say the guy on the line preparing the food to be cooked had no gloves on just throwing it in the a plate to give to the actual cook thank God they use high heat otherwise I would have left after seeing that. Not sure how long this location has been opened but a definite renovation needs to take place in this area staff and building.
Once a favorite of ours, this restaurant never recovered from COVID. It has devolved into a online order / take out only place. If you go here hoping for to dine in you will be completely ignored. Be prepared to be forceful to get them to take your order and try not to be offended when the staff is irritated at you for not ordering online.
I came here to get some food Togo. The cashier was friendly and took my order and I waited to the side. I notice quite a few people we’re already waiting and a few ladies looked irritated. As I was waiting I heard one of the cooks yelling at the man running out peoples food.. also three young men come in- I’m guessing it was their first time in here they were confused on where to go and the cook who yelled the first time pretty much was rude to the young men who came in looking where to order. 15 minutes go by and I was still waiting and I was checking my receipt and notice they didn’t t have the extra side of rice on my receipt so I went and double checked the cashier had that on my order and then the same cook yelled out saying he hasn’t even started that order yet. Lol. So another 10 minutes go by and the manager finally brings out my order and doesn’t say anything about me waiting forever. Also while I was waiting i over heard the lady beside me saying she placed an order an hour ago online. Maybe it was a bad day for them or maybe they needed extra help.
Excellent food and great staff. Worth the trip. Priced right for the quality and amount of food. Bathroom is nasty (needs a remodel and good cleaning, but is usable - but frankly I don't go to the restaurant to use the restroom).
