All of the food was fresh and delicious!! Careful of the candied peppers, I wasn’t ready The taco salad, smoked carrot taco and guacamole are a MUST HAVE!! Overall, we loved the friendly staff, cool atmosphere and tasty food so much. We will be back.
Ordered some veggie and vegan tacos (tofu, season vegetables, and vegan chorizo) and they were fantastic! Also couldn’t miss out on trying their churros and tomatillo salsa which were yummy! ???Staff was friendly and I thought price was reasonable with how much food I got. Loved the restaurant vibe.Will definitely be coming back to enjoy some more food on their menu.
Food takes forever because they can’t keep staff. They’ve fired people for being parents and their so called “mental health day off” was simple virtue signaling as they didn’t plan to pay employees that day until they were called out. The Root Cafe has been my favorite restaurant for 8 years and because of they way this company treats their employees, I will not ever step foot inside either Root or Mockingbird. You give small businesses a bad name. Shame. Such a shame.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDIf I was a death row inmate, this place had what I'd want to eat as my last meal: the Mockingbird Cheeseburger.You'll order and initially pay before you sit down. I had the Mockingbird Cheeseburger. Although they didn't take a temperature preference, when I got it, that thing was cooked PERFECTLY. It was very juicy and delicious!My wife ordered the 3-taco plate (carnitas, braised beef, red chili chicken) and she ate every bite. It came with a salad and refried beans.Only two small issues which kept me from giving them 5 stars: some of the chips from our queso were stale and my wife said the refried beans weren't the best.Other than that, my final takeaways:--The food we ordered came at a good time and they seemed to be busy--The food was on-point and then some!--The staff was very friendly and checked on you at the right times
They serve Prestonrose beers which are the best around! The staff is so friendly, and the paintings on the wall are really nice. The smoked carrot taco is to die for…
I needed a weeknight off from cooking, so I took my boys to check this place out. They had so many tasty vegetarian options! The carrot taco was my favorite out of the bunch that I tried. Both the boys were pleased with their quesadilla/taco and it was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
This place is AWESOME! Truly such amazing, kind staff and the food is out of this world. I grew up on tex-mex food and this is probably the best guac I’ve ever had. The tacos were a home run. This place exudes comfort and deliciousness! A great way to end my visit to Little Rock. If I lived here, I would be a regular at this place.
Great bartender! Guac and salad were a little more lime than I prefer but carrot tacos were amazing.
I went to a Latin restaurant and ordered a taco salad…and I loved it. There was so much avocado; I added some picked jalapeños to it and I didn’t even make casual conversation until it was gone.
