Good Lord this food was awesome and reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. I felt definitely at home. The staff was very friendly and the food was hot, good, and a plenty!
I had the small fish plate(2 pieces)with 2 sides, white rice with brown gravy and candied yams. I also got 2 small peach cobblers. This was my first time back here in about 7 years and everything was just as good as it was 7 years back. Thank you for your continued business in the community. I came all the way from Jacksonville to get me a plate and it was worth the drive and every dime I spent, I will definitely be back. ??❤
I had the dressing, porkchop, broccoli casserole, and greens dinner. I also had a peach cobbler for dessert. The dressing was very light-colored. I saw no sage, bell pepper, or celery it tasted rather bland. The cobbler was not like back in the day. It was ok. Pork chop and greens were good.
Me and my co-workers would eat from them once a week because the food was seasoned and good. Now, the food is tasteless, and horrible. Every week the same exact item is seasoned different. The rice is always hard, the mac-n-cheese-no comments, the chicken-fried steak is bland now, including the gravy. I could go on-and-on about the food, but the bottom line is they need to start measuring their ingredients when they cook their food so that the flavors can be consistent in their products.
If you love soul food like I do then this is the place for you if you have never tried it then this is the place for you their food is the best and their dessert is also wonderful too next time your in this area drop by and try some wonderful and their wonderful staff..?
Went through the drive thru and the people was very rude and said that they are gonna take their time taking orders and I'm.not on your time I.move when I move. Try to honor black business and this is how they act. So.......no more service.
DO NOT EAT HERE !!!! they took money off my card twice and it never came back on my card I’ll never eat at this place ever again

Long wait, drive thru only and always out of something. Also the food is mediocre in their new format.
