oh my heavens. Not only was breaky deelish.First place we've been that butters their toast...mmm mmmm. Our server Krystal with a K was downright FABULOUS. We are on the road for 6 weeks. Favorite breaky and restaurant so far. 4 thumbs up.
Excellent service, great prices, good comfort food
If Tori doesn't come up and say hi to you, you either smell bad or she's gone for a catering job. If there's a problem with your food, let her or the staff know. They will fix it!
The waitress was nice and helpful. Their Beef steak with the gravy is amazing, and they did a good job on the sauteed onions.
I would like to respond to Ginny S remarks about this restaurant. First of all let me say that this was my wife’’s birthday party not Ginny S party. We have been eating at Down Home for many years and have never had any problems. Except for Ginny everyone else was very pleased with their food. We realized that they were short staffed but we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Please don’t believe that the entire party was displeased. I am so sorry for any remarks by Ginny but please believe it did not reflect the feelings of the rest of the party. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you and your staff. Please send my wife’s and mine apologizes to your staff in particular the young hostess.
Neat little place tucked away from view. I passed it the first time and had to turn around. Staff is great, food is good. Coffee is delicious.
Delicious food, fun atmosphere, friendly staff.
Slow service the last two times it has taken 20 minutes plus for the server to bring the change last month I called ahead to avoid this but no one knew anything about my order.
The owner is a wonderful person ive been eating here for years great qouthern cooking. Great breakfast place and a good place to have lunch.
I’m leaving this review in hopes that the management will take note and maybe make changes for success. This was my first time dining here, and I had checked out reviews prior to going. They were a mixed bag of good and bad. So I gave it a shot. First impression was clean, comfortable place, and my service was friendly and fast. The food was hot and all was going great. Then I tried the food. It was not good. I was bummed. The lasagna was so overdone that the cheese on top was solid brown and tough like leather. The pasta was mushy and there was no ricotta at all. The squash casserole was just a ball of brown stuffing mix that was dry and totally overpowered by sage or some herb blend. No squash to be found. The green beans were hot and firm, but had NO seasoning. They needed SOME salt. I hope this place listens to it’s customers and makes some serious changes in the kitchen. I would go back if the food was improved. I won’t pay $12 again for a lunch that was barely edible.
