Forget about the negative reviews you see, there are still some legit managers. I have tried so many managers and I got scammed until I met MRS SOPHIA JAMES , she's 100% legit and reliable. The "GM" Leah is unprofessional, disrespectful, and flat out rude. After making BOTH our pizzas wrong we simply called up there to ask if we can either have the pizzas fixed, or a refund. And she began to rudely explain every aspect of her job to me, rather than simply apologize and offer to fix the mistake. We made the mistake of trusting them with dinner plans, and by the time the wrong orders came everything else was closed. My family has frozen burritos for dinner tonight so if you can't tell I'm upset.She would only refund 1 pizza, yet they are both in the trash! I know SHE doesn't care that we won't be back, But people like LEAH are the reason businesses fail. I do not suggest ordering if you have even ONE change to your order, they'll get it WRONG and then very rudely just blame you for it.
My family and I went to Damgoode Pies on 5/15/2022. We walked in and let them know we needed a table for nine. They reluctantly said they have no wait staff, and only two employees working, so we would have to wait in ourselves. That was perfectly fine, so we grabbed a couple of tables and moved them together, then went to the bar to place an order for drinks and appetizers. We ordered Fred Bread, and it came out quickly and perfectly. After the rest of my family arrived, I wrote down our order and went to the bar to place it. I ordered a 1 large The Greek stuffy with red sauce, 1 large Classic Pepperoni stuffy with red sauce, 1 10 inch Chicken Supreme with red sauce, a 10 inch Hand tossed BBQ chicken, and cheese sticks for my 10 month old granddaughter. They came out to the table to let us know that there is minced garlic on the cheese sticks, and asked if we wanted the garlic omitted since it was for the baby. Mama said garlic is good, but please slice the cheese sticks very small. Next thing I know, the cheese sticks were ready, and the baby went to town on them. She couldn’t eat the whole thing, so a few of us helped a little. The cheese sticks were perfect. I told them to yell when the pizzas were ready, because I would go get them and bring them to our table. He thanked me . But he didn’t yell. I just happened to glance up and see the pizzas being sliced and set on the counter to be brought to the table, so I jumped up to help. He made sure I didn’t burn myself on the pans. I only had The Greek, because that’s my favorite, but every single person said the pizzas were amazing. I know The Greek was phenomenal. I’m glad I got the large so I can have leftovers, which I will not share. They came to ask if we needed boxes, and I met him at the counter so he didn’t have to bring them out. I bussed our table, putting the waste in the trash and handing the plates and pizza pans to him. My husband moved the tables back and I put the high chair back. They thanked us for helping out so much. But that pizza was so good, I swear it was one of the best Damgoode Pies I’ve had. Check out these pictures. Cheesy perfection. They have recently reopened the Kavanaugh (Hillcrest) location and are prepping the Cantrell location for indoor dining.Masks are no longer required to enter the establishment.I’ve purchased almost 200 pizzas from DGP, and 98% of them have been super marvelous (at least 9.5 on a 10nscale). On the rare occasion that they’ve messed up something, they’ve either remade it or given it to me free/at a substantial discount.Lots of options (sauce and toppings ) although I generally order my same special creation .The folks at the Cantrell location are great, Jeff, Tyrus, Leila, Ashley and the kitchen crew!
Even if the pizza is the best in the world, the hardcore mask policy turned me off, and even calling in a to go order, the guy on the phone seemed annoyed to take my order. Gusanos got my money.
I bought a 30 dollar pizza. Pepperoni stuffy, you know the meat is supposed to be on the inside lol. On my way home after I picked it up i took a bite at a red light and there WAS NO PEPPERONI. ALSO, no mushrooms or what ever. Man I was disappointed. I had a hard Friday working at UAMS and really wanted a supper cheesy pepperoni pizza. I would have normally went back since the thing was 30 bucks but the traffic was so bad and I just went home and gave it to someone else.
