We ate here 4 yrs ago. It was a great meal, great service for a fair price. The menu only has 5 entrees now. There were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant. Drinks came. Ordered dinner, my husband ordered medium rare hamburger & french fries. The burger was well done. Fries were hot & good. No condiments were offered. I ordered Branzino with white wine sauce. The fish was maybe 2 ounces served over frozen mixed vegetables. It was okay. I was starving after spending the day in an airport. For $32.00 for my meal wasn’t worth it. Server never came back until she brought the bill. Won’t be back.
My wife and I had one of the worst bar experiences we've ever endured here. Let me begin by saying that we are not unreasonable people. We sit at the bar in restaurants we patronize more often than we sit at tables, and we are very understanding of the fact that the bartenders are responsible not only for their own guests food and drink, but are additionally responsible for all of the drinks in the whole restaurant. We are very patient when the service is slow, as long as we are treated courteously and as valued guests. That was not the case here.I would estimate the entire restaurant will hold a maximum of 75 people. There were 3 bartenders behind the bar when we sat down, and the restaurant appeared to be at about 50% capacity. We sat there for about 5-10 minutes with the bartenders doing everything in their power to avoid making eye contact with us. At one point one of the bartenders was less than 5 feet away from us and we spoke directly to him, and yet still he ignored us. We were about to stand up and leave when the gentleman sitting next to us finally intervened for us and got the attention of the bartender who had just returned his check. The bartender begrudgingly took our drink orders, and when she gave us our drinks we asked for food menus; menus that never came. Our new friend sitting next to us was the only good thing about this experience. I was shocked that a customer at the bar - in no way affiliated with it - felt the need to apologize for how we were being treated. We actually enjoyed our conversation with him, and he told us he used to frequent the establishment, but after it changed hands a few years ago it had declined quite a bit. He was only there because he was attending an event across the street. He recommended that we try a different restaurant a few blocks away.Getting our check to pay proved to be almost as challenging as getting someone to acknowledge us when we sat down. We finally got someone's attention and he told us he wasn't a server... he did not offer to get one for us. We finally shouted down the bartender who made our drinks, then left the bar with a very bad taste in our mouths.Again, we are understanding of the bartender's plight, but by way of comparison, we stopped at a restaurant in Texarkana the next day. This restaurant would seat easily 200 people, and there was a 30 minute wait for a table. Fortunately we found two seats at the bar, where we were warmly greeted by the sole bartender for this packed restaurant, and received very good service, including attention that made us feel like we were appreciated for our patronage. In summary, I honestly do not see us returning to Capital Bar and Grill. It was very disappointing experience at a restaurant housed in a 5-star hotel. The one star this review received belongs completely to our fellow patron at the bar.
Callie was awesome! She made our stay here so much fun. A great way to end a day of sightseeing.

I had a dinner with my boyfriend and we both got a stomach pain after eating the food. Also I've been vomiting for an hour now!
Menu has been updated; this one is the latest. Great cocktails in warm and inviting surroundings. Interesting menu from start to finish. Brussel sprouts were amazing! Blueberry chesecake with homemade boba blueberry pearls was one of a kind delicious! Highly commend fresh!
A wonderful atmosphere! Loved being there. Our server was great. Her first day.
The food was good but the service was exceptional. Aimee the hostess was amazing, so helpful. Truly commited to helping guests. Place was super busy but she totally helped manage seating and expectations.
We had an early dinner before the Elton John concert and the place was slammed with customers, but they did a fine job getting everyone served in time to head out to the show. Everyone at our table received what they ordered and all was delicious.
Fun spot for cocktails and dinner! We started with the pimento cheese which I recommend doing the same. The chicken cordon bleu was also great as a main dish.
