Birria tacos were outstanding and the service was great. Definitely recommend.

We knew great authentic taquerias and tamale joints in Memphis and looked for the same in Jonesboro. When I spotted a smaller building with the “Los Taqueiros” sign I thought this might just be the place. The menu was fairly extensive. I ordered a burrito for my husband, a quesadilla for our daughter and 3 tacos – all beef. I assumed that meant carne asada. Since I was the only customer, the order was ready within 5 minutes. The total was $26.53. The adept staff of two people earned that single star. The plastic bag with our dinners smelled crazy delicious on our drive home, so when we arrived, I immediately removed the top from the salsa container for a taste. I knew that salsa would indicate “Los Taqueiros” standing. I found a thin, watery red liquid. It tasted like fresh tomatoes, only diluted with water and hit with a bit of cilantro. My husband was presented with his ground beef burrito. He explained it was “OK” but nothing like he expected. Our daughter opened her quesadilla. She looked at it questionably, took a few bites and said, “This isn’t a quesadilla. Were they trying to make a burrito instead?” This kid knows what a real quesadilla looks like and this wasn’t it. Instead, she had a limp flour tortilla barely touched by heat with, again ground beef! She said it tasted "off" and sent it on a death dive into the trash can. Finally, I opened the container with my 3 carne asada tacos. I saw fresh cilantro and limes and small corn tortillas. I thought we might have finally found something worthwhile for a moment. Yay – a real taco in Jonesboro! I grabbed one and took my first and last big bite. The single corn tortilla was perfect, but there was so much wrong. I swallowed and looked more closely. Those tacos contained long shreds of cheese and water laden onions. The bits of carne asada were probably perfect several days ago. I can only explain it as tasting a meat several days after it has been cooked and although it might be safe for consumption, your dogs would benefit more. This business needs some serious alignment, readjustment and rethinking. The concept is promising but it fails in too many ways. First, the menu is too expansive to keep up with sales. The only way to complete a menu that large is to store single (meat) food products past freshness and sell them no matter what as opposed to preparing meats freshly and selling them the same day. I also suspect they are suffering from trying to adhere to a perceived American palate. Cilantro and limes hint at authenticity, but the rest is failure. As for those tacos, I spit the 2nd bite out because, ya know, aged meat heated up again on a flat top doesn’t taste good. Disappointment abounds. Is there anywhere to get a good taco in Jonesboro? I guess tamales are out of the question too. I feel as wilted as the onions at Jonesboro’s “Los Taqueiros.”
We have been eating here since they opened.food is fantastic. Its always my choice for Mexican food.they are very friendly and service is super fast.you know its fresh because it's made right in front of you. What a variety of meat.this place is a must try.

OH MY GOD! This place is the BEST! Finally we found a PHENOMENAL taco shop! It's almost an hour and a half drive, it is worth it. Gracias por todo! Definitivamente volveremos a comer ahí!!!
