I ordered a 4 piece catfish dinner. I had to sit in the drive-thru for awhile before I got my order. The total was $18 n some change. Which I thought was over priced, compared to some other prices in reviews I had read. By the time I got home , which was about 10-12 minutes,my fries were cold and a few had not hit the oil or oven at all. The catfish filets were good. No spoon for my coleslaw, no napkins. I was glad I was home cause a spoon n napkin are handy to have. No pickles, no onions! To me a catfish dinner has to gave picked n onions, its just part of it. I won't be going back. I'll just keep on going to Ironhorse BBQ n Steakhouse in Paragould. I get everything I want and for alot cheaper and the food is always hot n fresh!
Disappointed in food and service. The food was not very good; but it was hot and fresh. Just grease soaked and taste was not good. Won’t be eating fish from here again. Also, the online menu says $8.95 for a 3 piece plate and was charged $12.95 per plate. When asked about it, the lady was very rude and showed me a dirty menu stating $12.95. Then charged a surcharge for using a card to pay over the phone (which she requested) and didn’t tell me there was a surcharge for doing so.
Good food! Friendly service. Good value. The food quality was very good for a buffett. It was fresh, hot, and seasoned very well!
I ordered the pound of catfish steaks for $16.95/$18.73 with tax included, so I am expecting an actual pound of fish. There were 4 catfish steaks in my order, which equals about $4.25 per piece...a total rip-off! I should have called the police for this highway robbery. It was a better deal to get the 3-steak meal for $14.95. The blonde white owner cared less if I, a black woman, was satisfied or not, not concerned if I returned or not, which I won't. I see other visitors have complained about the overpricing. If you want to throw away money, this is an excellent place to visit! The fish was freshly cooked, so that's something positive to say about it. Work on your skills, Love! You rate an "F". Maybe I was the wrong skin tone.
I had visit the old location many times. The food business can be a tough road to navigate. I visited the new location and read a note on the door after I had eaten there. The note implied that the government kept people from applying for jobs at his location. If they think people could live off a few stimulus check something is very wrong. The big picture is never forget who your customers are. But that's not the problem. Problem is people are getting more educated about time and money and refuse to see you take in 25.00 a plate and they get 3.00 an hour plus tips that I have to pay on your behalf. It's okay your note is costing you money fill proud that you made up a excuse to not pay your workers better. I would have given them a 2 star at best but for them to think you can treat a customer with a bad comment its considered bad service. I am not the only that has expressed it. No more you lost me. Despite the warning posted at the door about being understaffed, our food was delivered quickly, hot and steaming, by very personable wait staff. We had the catfish plate which was piled high with huge filets, fries, hush puppies, coleslaw and fixin's. Would definitely eat there again.
Great food excellent service and reasonable price
Stopped in here on our travels for lunch with the 2 kids. We did not eat their buffet, but instead ordered off the lunch menu. The hush puppies are huge and so good. FBI got the fish plate - breading was crispy and fish was cooked literally perfect. It was flaky and juicy - SO good. My husband ordered the frog leg plate and OMG were they amazing. Perfectly crispy and meat was so tender. The only thing I would change is the fish breading. It was good, until I tried the frog legs! The flavor in the frog legs breading was above and beyond the breading on the fish. You put that same breading on the fish and ?. If looking for somewhere easy on the wallet and delicious food, definitely stop in here!
Fish was fair more salt than I like hushpuppie were excellent so was slaw my wife's BBQ plate was excellent price was fair
