This was our first visit to Via Roma in Hot Springs. After looking through Trip Advisor for Italian Restaurants, this looked to check the boxes. When we arrived shortly after opening on a Sunday night, we found the restaurant to be very warm however we could hear fans running. We were sat immediately and one given the menus I had Sticker $$ shock. Prices were double what the menu pics I had found. Service was excellent and the food came out hot and in good time. The food was good but I felt not worth the price. I am attaching new menu pics so others that choose to go will know what the current prices look like.
Incredible dining experience. Seated immediately, our server Austin was attentive but not bothersome. Never had to wait for him to come by. Our meals were simply awesome. Chicken Via Roma, and Rigatoni and Italian sausage were our entrées. Tomato Basil soup for a starter. Ambiance was perfect.
Very good food ....we had crab cakes appetizer and the veal main course was super. Expensive....for Hot Springs area. Nice decor.
The place is surprisingly well decorated and gives off a well-curated vibe as an Italian restaurant. The service was absolutely excellent. The waiter was quick and always kept our drinks refreshed. The Caesar salad was HUGE, enough for three or four. The food was the let down. It was good, but not amazing. There was a little sticker shock at the price (yes I know inflation..). I have had better food. The eggplant parm wasn't crisp and the manicotti was lacking. To conclude, excellent service, food needs to step up its game.
Pretty good night. Service was good, but I would not describe it as anything remarkable. I love the look of the restaurant and the statues are a nice touch. The food consists of an interesting menu--that is primarily American based Italian. However, there are some unique choices--like my entree of alligator and pasta. Food portions are on the good to large size. However, with that said, the prices (regardless of size) is on the more expensive side--and in fact, I've been to several Chicago Italian restaurants that were less expensive.--So, this is one of those restaurants for special occasions and you are very much buying the atmosphere as much as the actual food.
The food was wonderful and the service was spot on. The atmosphere was fantastic.Fun Fact: the building was originally a gas station before being bought out and converted into a bar, when the new owners took it over it became one of the highest rated Italian Restaurants in the city
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner at Via Roma. I started my experience with their delicious tomato bisque. My husband enjoyed the caprese salad. My entrée- baked eggplant Parmesan served over homemade pasta was amazing. My husband enjoyed veal piccata and asked for an add on of prosciutto which the gladly prepared. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with our meal. A shout out to our server, Josh who was up and beyond in serving us this wonderful evening!
Service is always friendly, professional and top notch. The wine list is extensive. Food is always freshly prepared. Some of our favorites are the calamari appetizer ( Best in Hot Springs), elk steak, penne vodka (add the shrimp!) and lasagna. Portions are all large enough for 2 meals. Bread and tapenade is a wonderful starter. We'll be back as often as possible!
There were 7 in our party for our anniversary dinner. After we were seated it was a very long wait to get our order. There was a couple behind us and then 2 couples in another booth seated about 30-45 minutes behind us that had received all service and desert and gone when we finally got our food. We listened around us while other people were given bread with their meal and we weren’t. Waiter continued to tell us thank you for being patient and then also he had broken his arm but it would be another 30 minutes before we would see him again. The prices are high and meals were just ok. A Greek salad was almost 30 dollars. My husbands veal he said was excellent. My chicken Parmesan was ok. It needed more garlic and the chicken was grisly. Will not go back.
