Jonathan was an awesome and made our experience unforgettable. The food was amazingly delicious. Beautiful ambiance and great drinks.
OMG. We love our waitress Quina. She was so attentive and one of the most sweetest person we ever met. Th3 food was amazing. She made our anniversary dinner the best. Definitely will come back.
From the time we sit down our service was exceptional, the waitress was right on top of the table wanting us to make sure we were comfortable in a quiet environment and getting what we needed. She quickly brought us our drinks explained the menus what was on the menu. My compliments to Kallie she did very exceptionally well on her job I was impressed with her service. We both had the Chilean Seabass and both were exceptional the vegetable medaly was delicious and done to perfection season to taste absolutely delicious ,the rice was cooked to perfection and I was really impressed with the Chilean Seabass, I chipped off some of the breading and tasted the Seabass itself, highly impressed ,the white flaky fish was delicious cooked to profession and it was very moist and delicious. With the combination of the Seabass and the breading and the dipping sauce , which I found to be a orange puree with butter to be exceptional. Those three flavors come together and made a delicious delight for my dinner. I highly recommend this dinner to anyone that comes to Hot Springs that wants to experience fine dining.
Our Waiter's name was Harry and he did a great job. He was very polite and professional and his recommendations were spot on. I don't tend to mention names in my reviews unless the person really stands out. My son enjoyed the chicken tenders off the kids menu with fries. I had a trio of shrimp that was seasonal for the 4th of July that was delicious.
Got dinner here a couple of weeks back on a Friday evening with my boyfriend and had a fantastic dinner! Our waitress was Quina and she was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. We ordered the special that night that included a filet, 2 crab stuffed crabs, mixed vegetables, salad and a potato. The steak was cooked perfect! We also were served a basket of bread and had a dinner salad with the very best homemade strawberry vinaigrette dressing you can get. We ended our dinner with a strawberry cheesecake which was also very good. This is a great place to go to enjoy a nice dinner in an old historic building. We will be back in a few weeks and bringing people with us as this is a great place to go with good prices that don't break the bank.
I called The Porterhouse at 7:45 pm and was told that they were open until 9 pm. I told the Receptionist that I was in my way. When i arrived at 8:15 pm, the door was locked. I called from the front door and was told that they "decided" to close early. I was happy because I would never want to eat at a Restaurant that had so little regard for its customers. However, I had a really good meal at the Ohio Club. Please do not expect for me to post a followup review of The Porterhouse. I will never dine there again. Nor will anyone who I can influence.
Highly recommend this place for dinner. Great food, and our waitress Quina was fabulous! Would definitely come back again.
The Porterhouse Steakhouse dinner experience was fantastic. The food was awesome. Being from Louisiana and eating at many fine restaurants, I am being very honest when I say it was one of the best steak dinner I have ever eaten. Our waitress, Queenie, was so good. Thank you to the chef, Queenie, wait staff and owner for a wonderful dinner and expierence.
We travel to Hot Springs often, living just 1 1/2 hours away. Recently my wife and I went to celebrate a birthday. This was the second time we have eaten at The Porterhouse. The staff is very friendly. We were welcomed by everyone we passed as we entered and had three different hostesses/waitresses come by our table to check on us (only one is assigned to your table but they all check on you). The atmosphere is antique and nostalgic. We ordered the steak (what else do you do in a restaurant named after a steak?). It was excellent. The only problem we had was they forgot to deliver one of the side dishes. However, to make up for that, we were given a free dessert. The Porterhouse is the second best steak restaurant in Hot Springs in my opinion. Don't miss an opportunity if you are in town long enough!
When you absolutely need to eat half a cow!? Or you are from Texas ?. The Porterhouse "special" is 2 chops, 2 filets, 2 NY strips, and a crab stuffed portobello? It's called a meal for two - three of us could not finish it! The best baked potato and veggies ever!Oh and the boat of hollandaise with crab?. Dressed with asparagus. The photos are before and after the pile of meat ???The owner is a great guy from Italy. You can find him at the end of the bar. Staff is fantastic. Our server checked our table every 7-10 minutes ?The restaurant is huge if you have a event or large group they can handle it ??
