This is the best food in town. Don't listen to the bad reviews. I'm convinced they are from other restaurant owners in this town trying to make it seem like a bad place. The food has gotten significantly better the last several weeks and the new owners are amazing. They go above and beyond for their customers and this place is their livelihood. They will do whatever it takes to make things right within reason. The quality of the food is so much better now. They really care about the quality of the food and the quality of their customers experience. I've even heard they will be extending business hours and revamping the menu soon. Eat here. You will not be disappointed. I'm happy to pay more for the food when I visit now because the food has changed for the better. This will be my first choice evey time I come to Hot Springs.
Fantastic food, great service, nicest staff we encountered in Hot Springs. Only change we would ask for is real silverware while dining in. We have a Sam's Southern Eatery in Fort Smith and it's good to know the food is consistent no matter where you find one.
Ordered from Grubhub for me to pick up. Order was never made and I was being told by the front cashier, 15yr old, that I had to call to let them know I was on my way to get the food. Like I was suppose to already know that information. Well the kid started getting an attitude with me because I asked to see if there’s a way to put a rush on the order since I’d already been waiting 40 minutes to pick the items up. She started running her mouth even more and acting like I was a complete hinderance being there. She escalated the issue completely and the owner had to come out telling her to stop and calm down that he was getting my order completed and was very apologetic. Well worse came to worse and the mom of the girl came busting out of the back acting like a call concubine with no since yelling and saying she was going to hit me. Then the dishwasher came out all road up telling me to leave. I told them all to give me a refund and I would. Needless to say the owner was still very apologetic and made the food and gave to me. Which in returned I gave it to a homeless man, don’t trust that stuff. The little girl can run her mouth but when it’s called upon, runs behind her mom that almost got her an assault charge. That’s the problem with these kids now days. Be VERY cautious with this establishment. The owner tried to make it right but the workers made it to the point I’ll never go back.
Truly a pleasant surprise. 2 Fish 4 Shrimp meal was filling. Great portions, sweet tea on point!!!
I don’t know where all the good reviews came from. All the employees had a bad attitude. I ordered to go on the phone, got there 25 minutes after I called, and still had to wait almost 15 minutes for my food. The inside was terrible. There’s no music so all you hear is the employees complaining at each other and the fryer going. On top of all of this, their Mac and cheese was basically cheese soup with bits of over cooked pasta in it and they served me under cooked catfish. The shrimp was okay. I’ve been to 3 separate locations of Sam’s Southern Eatery (Magnolia before they closed after 2 months of operation Texarkana, and this one) and can confidently say that they have all been complete garbage from the service down to the food.
This place has got to have the BEST Philly cheese steak sandwich in Hot Springs. Hot and the taste just exploded in your mouth. Wish we had one in Benton.
The food and service were great! I added jalapenos to my philly cheesesteak and it was delicious.
The food was very good and quick service. My server made a minor mistake by over charging me $1 for extra dipping sauce but after the manager yelled at her, I really felt sorry for her and that shouldn't happen where the customer can see and hear what's going on. I felt he overreacted.
I didn't like the way my oysters were fried,the beans in my red beans and rice were under cooked. I love my unsweetened tea. Other than that It was okay. The workers were great!!! I'll come again,because I want to try the grill fish and grill oysters.
Pretty good place for Southern style food.......We went for seafood - my fiancee had the shrimp special (25 pieces) and I had the two pieces of fish with 2 sides special - great prices on both specials!The deep fried shrimp was very good!!! Not overly battered like it so often is, very tasty.The fried fish was quite as well - crunchy cornmeal coating.Great fries, very good coleslaw - fresh and crisp. Red beans & rice very tasty."Thumbs up!" Recommend!!
