This place used to be 5-star, but they have a new cook apparently. Four of us went there last weekend and they served us VERY over-cooked food. Jumbo fried shrimp dinner was cooked down to shoe leather. The mahi mahi was so overdone there was not even an hint of moisture. Grilled catfish was over-salted, and the ribeye steak was sliced paper thin. There was hardly anyone there. It's not like they were super busy. This was extremely disappointing after many years of enjoying plump, juicy seafood there.
Small place but fantastic food and service!! They only had 2 waitresses and no bussers, they told us they were short staffed bit let me tell ya, these ladies hustled!! Once seated our drinks and appetizers came quickly and about the time we finished those our food came. He got spicy, I got mild and it was perfect!! Definitely worth coming back to!!
We haven’t been here in a couple of years. The food used to be great. Our food was not great this time and left us feeling sick afterwards. The gumbo wasn’t gumbo. The rice was tough and cold. Lettuce in the salad was brown, obviously having been made on an earlier date. Also, the place needs a deep cleaning, especially around the doorknobs. The areas around the doorknobs were black and filthy. Maintenance is needed. The door going outside to the deck would not close and stayed open about 12 inches letting cold air inside while we were trying to eat. I do not recommend this restaurant as it is not sanitary.
I tried fried crawfish tails and crawfish etouffee. There was a crawfish on my plate for beauty and the waiter was kind enough to show me how to eat it. Bill was a terrific waiter! He helped us midwesterners learn about Cajun. My husband had shrimp and lots of it. We were full when we left!
We ate an early supper here and everyone enjoyed the food. Several of us got the boiled meals to share and the portions were generous. Our server was very attentive. Wish we lived closer! Will definitely return if ever in the area again.
Cajun Boilers is one of my favorite places in Hot Springs!! The gumbo is very good and the service is good too! A must try in Hot Springs! Nice patio overlooking the lake too!
VERY VERY GOOD! We all got something different and it was all delicious!!!! Great service! Great.
Cajun Boilers has always wanted to be a Hot Springs tourist destination. They had billboards advertising their restaurant. I've eaten there several times and the food has always been pretty good. On my last visit I had the catfish topped with crawfish etouffee and it was very tasty. The spicy boiled potatoes were moderately tasty, but I was surprised they weren't served in a spicy butter. The ambience is a little underwhelming and the waitress I got seemed a bit abrupt, but the food was good enough that it still ever up with ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
It was fast curbside delivery. The lady was super friendly. Been looking for a genuine Cajun meal and I found a good one. Thank you! Spicy too
We visited today. Cody was our waiter he was fantastic. Polite, smiles & suggested crawfish. Wonderful food. Delicious gumbo, peel'em & eat'em shrimp. Crawfish & Tilapia. Yum
