The decor is fun to sit and look at. The music playing was great. Our server wasn't extremely friendly, but did come to check on us. The food...the chef's salad had a strange flavor. The patty melt needed lots of salt and pepper, though the patty was nice and thick and juicy. Loved the marbled rye bread. Overall, not my favorite place, but I don't like French dipped sandwiches, which is what Ed Walkers is known for. Come and give them a try if you never have...and form your own opinion.
It was a great choice, I definitely enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It makes you like you are back in time. Service is fast and on point, food is delicious and fresh. The restaurant is a great choice specially if you are looking for authentic Arkansas meals. This is one of the restaurants you must visit on a trip or vacation.
The food was great. The waitresses were nice. However, one thing I didn't appreciate was when I ordered a beer. They wanted to know my ID wasn't expired. They knew I was over 40. You all need to fix this issue. If my ID is expired, my age remains the same.
Got lucky in Ft. Smith. Found this place on web and gave it a try. Nostalgia is an understatement. Old time 50s drive in or eat in. Clean bathrooms and super staff. Bar b que sandwich was super and homemade onion rings were great. Good go to place
Very nice small diner. We had the French dip and BBQ sandwich. Both were quite tasty. Our waitress was great as well. We also had a slice of banana cream pie, it was definitely the only letdown. Should have tried a different dessert. That's what we get for not asking our waitress for her recommendation.
The mushroom Swiss burger was good but nothing to brag about but the Reuben was absolutely amazing and the onion rings are real, not minced! This place is famous for its French Dip sandwiches so next time I'm trying that. Awesome service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!
We stopped here for a French dip and a Reuben sandwich. They came with fries and my partner upgraded to onion rings. Both sandwiches were flavorful and tasty. We had room for dessert, almost, but went ahead and tried the cake. It's big and tall and delicious. Great meal in a retro kitchen setting.
Always a treat to eat here. Definitely a great place for comfort/cafe food and desserts.
Great food..great service! Took a wrong turn and found a great spot for burgers. Fun vibe! Pulled into historical diner and ordered the Big Red Burger. Thry brought it t o the csr!! Delicious. I will be back and bring the family. Worth the trip!!
I really wanted to like this place but after three bad times visiting just can't go back. Waiter was rude and didn't care the orders were wrong. Food was cold like so cold the cheese was not melting at all on the chili. The French dip they known for the au jus was salty and frankly lacked flavor. Fries were greasy and over salted. Burger fell apart as it was so greasy it soaked the bun and just was inedible. Cookies my son liked.
