I love their food and its always very consistent in flavor. Love their baked beans and potato salad. The brisket and pulled pork is so good. The cookies are delicious. They dont have a fryer at this location (Mission and Crossover). The one on Archibald Yell has a fryer and their fried pies are absolutely amazing. Its pretty quick service too and very freindly.

Best Deal on Wings in Town: The Signature Spicy Sauce is good, but the price is great. Will be my exclusive wing spot for a while. Wish the meat on the salads was served chilled though.

Penguin Eds is just solid good food for solid good folks! It also has prime rib on Saturday. Large cuts of prime rib are a Hallmark there, with sizable side portions. You won't leave hungry, and will probably have enough for a second dinner to take home with what's left over. My only complaint is that the decor seems dated and could use a swankier look. I believe the prime rib is only served at the Crossover restaurant, and not the other satellite locations. Go early enough before they run out, it goes pretty fast.

I moved to Arkansas from Ukraine and before that I visited many different places in the area and not the first time I visited Penguin Edd because my husband loves barbecue. And I don't usually leave reviews, today I ordered a meat salad with smoked beef, the meat was dry and grated so finely that it looked like sawdust and there was no taste of meat. Although it should have been at least chopped like it was in the description and not so dry. A mountain of salad greens, a bunch of croutons and three thin slices of tomato and some grated cheese. It looks like the tomatoes ran out in Arkansas. I won't order this again next time.

This is my favorite BBQ place in all the world. No where else can compare to the amazing BBQ from Penguin Ed's BBQ. I have never eaten anything here that I didn't love. The service is great the people are great and the food is great. I love this place.

Ribcrib has better bbq. The brisket was tough and cold. The single rib that I got with my 2 meat plate was boiled and tough (someone didn’t remove the membrane) the potato salad taste like it comes from a tub and the baked beans from a can. Also extremely overpriced. 0/10

Pretty mediocre at best. My brisket was dry, cold, and lacking flavor. I have never understood the fascination with this place except for all the cool penguin stuff. I only came because my party wanted to. There are much better BBQ in NWA.

Oh the days when manors mattered. Thank you to the server that put me in my place, reminding me that I was being rude to my wife and not letting me order until she was done. This was probably the most impressive part of our visit. The meat was incredibly dry for BarBQ. Additionally, I didn't know that bbq sauce was a salsa... Let me explain. They offer their sauces as a mild, medium, and hot bbq sauce. ? Ok, I was game for a try...After all it's Arkansas and not Texas, Tennessee, Carolina, or Kansas City. Let's just say, I have had better sauce from Kraft! ? Which is probably what the mild sauce was. I was told I would get medium spicy sauce with my food, which never appeared (probably a good thing). The hot tasted like they put some Cohula sauce in the mild and mixed it together. It looked like Katsup. Meat portions were on par with the pricing, but the sides were overpriced for the portion. If you are going to give out a 1.5 ounce portion of food for $1.75, at least make an attempt to have me think I am getting more than I actually am. In case you are wondering what 1.5 ounces look like, ask for some ranch dressing in a cup on the side. They were sold out of cookies. ? We ordered the fried pies and took them to go. Overall, for a college town eatery, their average rating of 4.4 is about par. In Texas, this place would be closed in 3 months and have a 1 star rating.

I've eaten there three times and only once did I really like the food. You can only order your beer at the window and it isn't the coldest beer in town.

Great BBQ,potato salad was delicious ? spicy ? great atmosphere friendly service
