Great food and friendly service.
Great staff , great food & atmosphere ???
We stumbled on this place on accident. The aroma of the smoked meat was overwhelming and we had to stop.Started with a craft beer that was excellent. We each ordered a meat plate. Everything on our plate was perfect. The Carolina hot mustard was great, the ghost pepper barbecue was fantastic. We will come back for more.
Better than average BBQ joint. Very casual atmosphere. The brisket had good flavor. Sides were fair. The chocolate fry pie was tasty although at almost $6, not a great deal.
Delicious southern comfort food, great spot for lunch, and the servers are friendly. Best fried pickles I’ve ever eaten. Knocked down one star because of the bathroom situation. There is only a single bathroom for both men and women…yikes!
The brisket and pork ribs are moist and tasty. I highly recommend these in your orders. I wish they do not chop the pulled pork and chicken thigh they taste good too. This is a must-go place for me if I am in Fayetteville.
There is a reason this place has been in business for decades. I ate here at least twice a week when I was a student at the University of Arkansas more than fifty years ago. I wasn't expecting it to be as good now, but their food and service may be even better than it was then. The Memphis-style pulled pork sandwich on Texas Toast is about as good as it gets. I salute Penguin Ed's for keeping the distinct decor and menu that generations of fans remember. The tableside phones once used for orders were taped up due to Covid, but everything else was the same as I remember. Well done!
I had carry-out at the Mission location while in town to visit relatives. The sandwich was wonderful, melt-in-your-mouth tender and very flavorful. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely recommend this place to friends!
Great Barbecue and staff! I was nervous when Penguin Ed's bought B n B Barbecue some years back. I was real worried I would loose my chopped beef sandwiches with the most awesome batter dipped fries on the planet. Buuuut, Ed's kept them! And now we've got the best of both worlds. Ed's merged with B n B. Now it depends on what I am in the mood for. Awesome business move. Great new barbecue restaurant came in and totally honored a legendary restaurant and you might say a part of the heritage of what makes Fayetteville by combining the two. And it worked. I highly recommend them and any of the other Penguin Ed's around town.
Great food. There had been a dip in quality but my last visit was a return to form, some of the best bbq in the state. Service could be better but I visited during an off period so it's understandable.
